My kids loved their meals and drinks (yes, they’re still talking about them), and I was genuinely impressed by the quality and flavor in every bite. If you’re looking for a spot that delivers on taste, comfort, and family-friendly vibes — this is it. A must-visit that we’ll definitely be returning to.”

The amazing crew greeted us and showed exceptional care; their vibrant energy captured our attention right away. One should highlight the lack of trashy and shallow music, along with the ample space and cleanliness of the washrooms. Summer has arrived, and it's common to expect buzzing flies while eating; however, their conspicuous absence results from the Rentokil system fixed to the wall. All is satisfactory! Those who love food need to experience this restaurant! With two visits behind us, we eagerly anticipate the upcoming ones!”

“This is one amazing place for a good meal and some really well made cocktails. We ordered for a meat pizza and 2 cocktails. It was really well made. The waitress also helped us in selecting what to eat. Clean bathrooms.”

“My sister and I decided to try Fu Lin Kitchen on a whim, we arrived 30 minutes before closing time but the lovely woman let us order what we wanted and the food arrived promptly. I had the beef brisket on rice and cucumber salad, while my sisters had sweet and sour chicken on rice and lemon chicken on rice. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meals, including my two year old who shared my beef brisket on rice with me. Cooked to perfection. Would definitely come back here again.”

“Any fans of pork buns should absolutely check this place out if they ever have the pleasure of visiting Auckland. This place has perfected everything that makes up the delicate, fluffy and sweet bun and the savoury, saucy pork interior. The chef's work hard and deserve lots of praise for the dishes and clouds of porky goodness they create. I unfortunately didn't catch the name of the kind girl who served me but her kind smile and service added to the experience of eating at Sunny Town.”

“That was awesome! The place is very unassuming, just squashed in next to a row of shops, and easy to miss. But what an awesome little place! They serve breakfasts starting at $7.50 and lunch. And of course some of the most amazing shakes! Only surpassed by their totally delicious coffee. The gentleman serving the counter is super friendly, and very attentive I will definitely come back again”

“Authentic food, excellent decor, and great service. Sunny Town makes their dumplings fresh and in the open where you can observe. They also have an open kitchen. The food is delicious, with the perfect mix of spices. Definitely order the steamed dumpling, pork or vegetables as both are yummy. The spicy dumplings are not for everyone, but our daughter loved them. We loved the bamboo interior with comfortable seats. The service is prompt and friendly.”

It's an eat and go type place, you godforsaken the food rather than the atmosphere. Would recommend for those who love Lebanese.”

“I popped in this morning while waiting for my car to be serviced down the road - staff uber-fine with me buying a coffee and setting up my laptop for a couple hours to get some study done - the blackboard menu won me over for a toastie as well - 5/5 so far as toasties go. Overall just a nice semi-rural down-to-earth welcoming vibe and I now have a cafe to visit whenever I'm in Waimauku with time to stop by.”

“Some would say the kebab is perfectly portioned here. Great taste and fresh ingredients. Hygyne is an issue. Watching the young guy go from till straight to my kebab without sanitising his hands is concerning. Try at least sanitising your hands b4 touching my food. The owner was lovely. He asked me why I didn't order a combo and quickly said his chips were the best, and he ordered special seasoning that only his store has. He then proceeded to season a chip and gave me a taste test. They were delicious. Next time im here, I'll definitely try out the combo. Passionate and lovely guy. Thank you.”

The ambiance was cozy and casual, making it a good spot for a brief stop. While the latte was a bit on the pricier side for its quality, the overall experience was pleasant enough if you're in the area and looking for a comfortable place to relax for a while. Would come back to try their food, but for just coffee, there might be better options nearby.”
