I've been coming here for years now, I compare them to everyone else's every time I get buns or curry, nothing compares, pinati's is still the best in New Zealand by far!
lamb buns is a rip off. steamed and fried. barely any flavour & the lamb inside is next to nothing… better lamb buns at Evalina cs at least they ain’t stingy with the portion.
Chopsuey was so cold had to reheat for 6mins. Atmosphere in the restaurant is pretty dead.
Really tasty German buns, we had the chocolate and coconut. Much less sweet than doughnuts I am used to in Canada (in a good way). The dough itself is not very sweet but the generous fillings bring some sweetness and lots of flavour. We didn't try any of the savoury options but will next time we are nearby. We paid $2 each for the buns, and they do have payment by card available but we paid in cash. Service was friendly and prompt. They have tables for dine in, but we took ours as takeaway.
Love the German buns. Generous portion of caramalised coconut filling versus the pastry.

Call to confirm they are open! I arrived 4:30pm on a Thursday after driving a long way and they were closed without explanation. Even though their posted business hours are until 6:00pm. So sad I couldn't try their keke pua'a, maybe next time!
THE BEST PANIKEKE. not too sweet or too oily! just the perfect balance of delicious samoan sweets! AND THE PORK BUNS ARE SO GOOD. the ladies there were just as delightful the sweets they sold to me
