“We had brunch on Waitangi Day (Thursday) and absolutely loved it. For the first time, I had a smoothie that was actually better than the ones I make at home—so thank you for that! We went back on Saturday, but this time, the smoothie had noticeably more spinach, which caused it to oxidize quicker. I don’t have a picture, so you’ll have to take my word for it—it was much darker in color and less sweet. That said, the breakfast quality was just as great as the first time.”

“The Collins is a local fave on the Shore!! Their food is always delicious, coffee is brewed to perfection, and the customer service is always friendly and fast. I definitely recommend coming here for coffee and/or brunch, plenty of seating options both indoor and outdoor too.”

“Holy!!!! A coast hidden gem!! Went for dinner, started with the cheese and garlic bread, must be home made dough because I could not get enough of it, then had the tarragon chicken, I’ve been dreaming about it ever since, absolutely mouth watering. staff were absolutely amazing, the smiles they give, you cannot help to smile. Decided to come back to try their breakfast today and what can’t they do, coffee 10/10 and I had the smashed avocado, would go back every morning if I could. If I could give it 10 stars I would!!!!”

“I recently visited this cozy café and tried their "Salmon Benny" it was an absolute delight! The dish was beautifully presented, with perfectly poached eggs nestled on a crispy, flavorful base, topped with creamy hollandaise sauce and fresh greens. The smoked salmon on the side added a rich, savory touch that paired wonderfully with the rest of the dish. The portion size was just right, and every bite was bursting with flavor. The attention to detail in both the presentation and taste truly stood out. The café itself had a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. “We have always wanted to try Manaia Seafood. From the moment I stepped out of the car, I could instantly smell the seafood boil. Our booking was set for 12pm. We ordered the Medium Lobster tray $135 with Fries $10 on the side. No amount of words can describe the beautiful taste of the Lobster tail, half cut crabs, mussels, prawns, sweetcorn and eggs. Everything was just divine.”

The food was very tasty, my friend is a chef and he tried the salmon and said it was fresh caught. Nice and quiet environment, probably also because we got there after 3PM. “A small cozy sushi store in front of the Auckland Library. Sushi and rolls are freshly made. Seating is quite limited but most people go there for takeaways. I especially like the salmon cream cheese roll. They also have discounts for those bringing their own container.”

“Amazing staff! Such great people. Friendly, knowledgeable, professional and bringing the chill vibes. The range of drinks is outstanding- great pints and they even have our fav; Morning Cider. The building is beautiful - old world solid wood with plenty of intriguing curiosities gracing the walls. There are cozy spots hidden all round the venue so it can feel intimate even when crowded. Decent food - we weren’t big fans of the wings ‘cause we like them classic-style with crispy skin, but we’re from London so we get picky when it comes to fried chicken, these are American Buffalo style as stated on the menu. This is, however, the best pub on the waterfront. We go here whenever we’re doing a shoot in town and the team are brilliant hosts. Thanks guys!”

“I have been wanting to visit this place for a while to have their famous roast and was worth the wait. I also like the atmosphere. Very good bar and a fantastic place to watch sports. Update: Normally I always go for the amazing Sunday roast dinner, but on my last visit I noticed the updated menu and saw they had Gammon, Egg, and Pineapple with hand-cut fries. I haven’t had that in years, and it’s rare to see on a menu these days. The nostalgic taste was absolutely amazing! Highly recommended. I would highly recommend booking in advance for a table in the weekends as this places gets busy and I can see why. Still fantastic service and great staff.”
