I have been wanting to try this place for some time now on my work visits down from Auckland. Glad I finally did, new fav Hamilton restaurant! Service was outstanding, food was absolutely delicious. I had the Turkish meatballs as per wait staff recommendation (I would not normally order this dish first up) and I did not regret it. Portion size was not huge (which I prefer) so room for desert and the baklava and tahini ice cream did not disappoint. You can tell there are some generational recipes being passed down here. Yum!
We recently visited this charming Mediterranean restaurant in central Hamilton and were thoroughly impressed. The location is ideal, and there's plenty of outdoor seating, especially if you visit on a weekday — perfect for a relaxed meal in the fresh air. The food definitely lives up to the local hype. We tried a variety of dishes including the Sigaraborek, lamb sheesh, mezze platter, grilled fish, prawns, souvlaki wrap, and chicken sheesh. Every single dish was well-cooked, flavorful, and served promptly. Special shoutout to their house-made sauces and hummus – they offer different varieties, and each one is absolutely delicious. You can really taste the freshness and care in the preparation. The decor adds to the experience – warm, inviting, and stylish without being overdone. It’s the kind of place that makes you want to linger a little longer. We’ll definitely be coming back, especially for the hummus and those standout sauces. Highly recommend if you're looking for authentic Mediterranean flavors in a relaxed setting!
Very yummy food with amazing flavours and the staff were super friendly. It was a full house but we only waited maybe 15mins for 2 entrees and 4 mains. Kudos to the chef and the staff, would definitely come back and recommend to others
Great service. We were seated outside on a cold night, with the ourdoor heaters and offer of blankets (that we didn't need) we were warm, comfortable and had a lovely evening. Loved the food! The platters were great to share across the family.
We stopped over for lunch on our way back home and the food was amazing. Very nice big portion, meat was full of flavour and the bread was the best. We went again couple of weeks ago and had the platters with no meat and that was delicious too. Highly recommend this restaurant. You get good food for the money and the service was good both times.
Food was superb and service was excellent. Staffbwas very friendly and kept us updated on our order throughout. Highly recommended!
One of the best Mediterranean food places in new zealand. Everything was looking like it cane out of a fine dining place and tasted even better than they looked. What a surprize, everything is authentic and all of them were favorite. Parking is free for first 2 hours, so on a lunch it was good.
