“Bunnings Warehouse Porirua is much more than a hardware store; it's the ultimate hub for all home improvement, gardening, and DIY projects in the Wellington area. This store is a cornerstone of the community, consistently delivering a top-tier shopping experience characterized by massive variety, competitive prices, and truly exceptional team member support. The sheer scale of the product range is impressive, covering everything from essential building supplies and high-quality tools to stylish home decor and an extensive outdoor nursery. “Best place for Tui b4 bus trip home”
“Really delicious food. We've been there a few times and will be back again. Lots to choose from. We've eaten all meats and they're all tender and good portion sizes. Service is good and attentive.”
“Shared a delicious 2 dishes, Ginger Prawn and Thai Fried Rice with Chicken. Both were delicious and fresh! I’d definitely visit again.”
“Always a beautiful place for kai, with lovely staff! The two for one deal is top tier. Definitely our new favorite spot”
“Good restaurant but one of the chefs has become the manager and he needs to get everything up to scratch. Menu prices aren't accurate, it's $20 for most vegetarian mains. If there's any trouble with the phone or online orders then I recommend to simply visit. They are open most days but not on Monday and not on Sunday for lunch (should be open on Sunday for dinner though)”
“My wife and I are visiting New Zealand from the States on our honeymoon and chose this place for dinner following recommendations we found on Reddit. We ordered the “Trust the Chef” prix fixe option with some mocktails and were absolutely floored by how good it was. We ended up with eight courses: prawn toast, pork wonton, mouthwatering chicken, a xiaolongbao and shumai each, crispy roasted duck in curry, stir fried oyster mushrooms, green beans in XO sauce and tiramisu for dessert. Every course was absolutely delicious, and I particularly loved the prawn toast and the roast duck. The portion sizes were also massive- we ended up with two takeaway boxes and could probably have saved more if we paced ourselves properly. Midnight Shanghai showed us a spectacular meal and I hope to visit them again someday!”
“I was shopping for my little cousin for Christmas and I was helped out by a lovely staff member his name was Oscar, I didn’t end up buying anything but now I’ll know for next time I come in. I’ll definitely be coming back! Such a friendly guy thank you!!”
“Had fantastic service from Jess! She was super thorough and knowledgeable and made our purchase so easy! She even organised for the couch to be delivered within the week- with the delivery men to take away the rubbish after set up! What a wonderful service!”
“We came to the Christchurch airport Bunnings store after having abysmal service (ie none) at the Tower Junction store. The service at the airport branch was really good, very helpful and attentive and we were able to find everything we needed. After purchasing a number of very large items for our outdoor lounge furniture, a young man helped my husband load the items onto the roof of our car and stayed to check everything was ok. We were impressed with the service here and would choose this store over others which are closer to us.”
“This is a hidden gem. Tucked away a little, this is a terrific place. Historical and modern all at the same time. Marty was the sensational staff member who made our experience such a great memorable event. It was nice to see some of the Wigram Airfields history being kept for generations to come.”
“Nice Club this one. Stopped here for lunch and was served up a great meal at very generous prices. They have all the facilities with pool and snooker plus a great gaming room. Just note it is a chartered club so you need to be signed in by a member or an affiliate from another club. Car parking is out front with HWMC on each park. If you want a nice meal and chat with friends and family this is a good place.”
“FreshChoice Oxford: Small-Town Charm Meets Quality Groceries FreshChoice Oxford may be nestled in a quiet, rural town—but don’t let that fool you. This local supermarket punches well above its weight when it comes to freshness, selection, and friendly service. Why It’s Worth the Stop: Fresh, Local Produce: The fruit and veg section is bursting with color and flavor, often sourced from nearby farms. It feels like you’re shopping straight from the growers. Well-Stocked Shelves: From everyday essentials to specialty items, they’ve got a surprisingly diverse range for a store its size—gluten-free, organic, and gourmet items included. Top-Tier Meat & Deli: The butchery is spot-on, with quality cuts and helpful staff. And the deli? Perfect for a picnic on the go. Friendly Vibe: You’re not just a shopper here—you’re a neighbor. The staff greet you with genuine smiles and are always happy to help or chat. Clean, Organized, and Efficient: The layout is logical, the aisles are tidy, and the checkout process is quick—even during busy hours. Bonus: They support local brands and community events, which gives you that warm, hometown feeling every time you shop. Final Thought: FreshChoice Oxford blends convenience with character. Whether you're stocking up for the week or grabbing a few items on a road trip through Canterbury, it’s a gem of a grocery store with heart.”
“Right near the airport, this place offers great coffee, amazing food, a great selection of cabinet food, and (perhaps the best part) a cozy fireplace to curl up near. The meals were really generously sized, and were healthy and fresh. The staff were very friendly and attentive too. Would definitely come here again.”
