Decent food, curry was nice but definitely not a medium, very mild! I know everywhere is different. Samosas were great but didn’t get any sauce with them which you always get. Otherwise still a solid meal.
Really delicious food. We've been there a few times and will be back again. Lots to choose from. We've eaten all meats and they're all tender and good portion sizes. Service is good and attentive.
We ordered a chicken lababdar, ended up being given butter chicken. Ordered x2 naan, we were only given x1. Only realised once we got home that we were given the wrong currie (which was cheaper than the one we'd ordered) and only one naan. Were too far away to be worth going back, bit of a rip-off.
I ordered the Chicken Tandoori Platter tonight, but it was nothing like what was shown or promised on Uber Eats. The picture and description showed a full platter with juicy tandoori chicken pieces, salad, and chutneys — but what I received looked completely different. The chicken pieces were dry, overcooked, and lacked any proper tandoori flavour. The platter was missing some of the items mentioned, and the portion size was much smaller than expected. The chutney was spilled inside the container, and the salad looked old and soggy. Overall, the food quality and presentation were far below what was advertised. For the price, this was very disappointing and felt misleading. Definitely not worth ordering again .
The tandoori starters were good value and tasty. The 3 mains we ordered tasted very similar. The surprise awaiting us was to be told that this restaurant only served one rice for every 2 mains! Never have we seen or heard of such a thing in another Indian restaurant in NZ. Needless to say we were forced to order another rice to finish the meal. We will not be going back here.
Not the best I have ever had. Great staff though. Excellent chessey Naan. Curry was a bit sweet. Not sure the platter was value for money.
This place makes the BEST Indian food, I have ever tried! Lovely staff too, specifically the FOH, overall just a great experience. I 100% recommend.
I have had many great experiences at the Plimmerton Taj over the last few months courtesy of one of the nicest waitresses I have every experienced! Truly a hidden gem of Wellington. Perfect for a dinner out with the family or even a significant other! Service absolutely on point!
Absolutely fabulous authentic Indian cuisine and our young waitress provided amazing service! Came out for our company function dinner and left with a belly full of tasty and high quality kai!
