Her carers are friendly and approachable and the centre is willing to invite feedback and improve services to help foster development at every stage. There is a great outdoor play area at the centre, as it's an older building and has a bit more space. I would also give credit to the events the centre plans and the level of effort that goes into bringing families together.”

So I decided to take swimming lessons with Benoit and I am an adult swimmer. He is an excellent teacher when it comes to swimming, he listens to you and shows guidance according to your fitness, confidence and your ability. He has an efficient way of communicating and to teach swimming. I would highly recommend Ben from my experience. I can completely do all the breastroke, freestyle and backstyle now. And still taking lessons with him in order to improve and compete.”

He loves it and his eyes light up when he talks about it and about each of the dedicated, hardworking and talented kaiako / teachers. He has grown so much in his six months there - verbally, socially, in his motor skills, in his confidence and in his knowledge of himself and the world. There’s a warm, calm, friendly, family-like vibe that comes from being a small, not-for-profit preschool. “Both our tamariki have been at BestStart Tawa, so we've been with the centre for over 7 years now. We absolutely love the teachers and staff who all show so much love and care for the tamariki and the whole whanua! The team do an amazing job, work together as a cohesive unit and are very adaptable. There are great resources for the tamariki and the food that is provided is such good quality and delicious. Everyone is so tamariki focuse, and there is a real emphasis on building relationships with the whole whanua. We've loved our time here and are so fortunate for the relationships built. “We transferred my son from a daycare center to Capital City Preschool and the difference has been amazing. At CCP, the teachers are welcoming and warm, and my son looks forward to going every day—sometimes he doesn’t even want to leave! I especially appreciate the 1:7 teacher-student ratio, the personalized updates on his interests and strengths, and the support for his emotional development. Since starting at CCP, his speech has improved significantly. They offer extracurricular activities (my son looks forward to Playball on Fridays!) and community excursions, also celebrates different cultures and events. It feels like a small, nurturing community. The best preschool! I'm so glad we transferred my son to CCP.”

“I cannot overstate how fantastic Elyssa Vulpes’ teaching has been. After 10 years of trying and failing to teach myself the piano, I finally decided to get lessons. It really proved how a good teacher is so worth it. Elyssa tailored her lesson plan to fit my needs and goals (namely improvisation around chords). She always comes prepared for each lesson and can show why each drill/skill she teaches is important and how it connects to my goals. She is aware of the difficulties of being a beginner at an instrument and is able to create an environment so that you stay encouraged and motivated. Her expertise, preparation and support have been invaluable. If you are looking for a music teacher who will make you achieve your goals, look no further!”

“My paragliding journey started with a wonderful tandem flight with Grey Hamilton, the head honcho at Cloudbase Paragliding in Christchurch, and I fell in love with paragliding straight away. I decided to go to another company in Queenstown (just for the scenery) to start my paragliding training, but really didn't enjoy the teaching methods there so I came back to Christchurch to finish my training and become a qualified paraglider pilot. And I'm so glad I did! For starters, the scenery in Christchurch is also beautiful, but while you're learning you're concentrating so much you don't really think about that. What is much more important is what, and how you learn. Grey and his assistant instructors are very experienced, and they teach with care, patience, and with safety at the forefront. Also, (unlike in QT) they really love what they're doing, and I was never made to feel like I was wasting the instructor's time when it took me a while to learn something new. Grey also teaches all the necessary theory, from the physics of flying, to airspace law, to meteorology, and helps you through all the exams you need to pass to qualify. Having recently been awarded my licence, I feel super confident to explore NZ with my new gear (which Grey very kindly sourced for me at a discount price) ready to put my new skills into practice. And now I can enjoy all that beautiful scenery with no stress! Thanks to everyone at Cloudbase! :)”

“Our family loves Annabels, it’s a safe, caring and fun environment for our daughter to learn in! She loves it so much she asks to go to preschool every time we drive past. The teaching staff are wonderful, and are very supportive they welcome you and your child every morning with a smile. It has the rural feel and are keeping the old childhood traditions alive remembered by the parents when they were young. Would 100% recommend.”

“Our daughter attended Kindercare-Addington for over a year, starting in the Tui Room and later moving to the Pukeko Room. We couldn’t be happier with the care and support she received. The teachers have been so accommodating to her needs — from helping with potty training to teaching her songs, and basic facts that toddler should know. One thing that really impressed us is how well they encouraged healthy eating habits. Our daughter now enjoys vegetables and fruits that many parents struggle to get their kids to eat — like carrots, cucumber, capsicum, and even onions! From the very first day I visited, I noticed how well the school maintains cleanliness and hygiene, which was a major deciding factor in enrolling my toddler. It’s been wonderful to watch her grow in confidence, skills, and healthy habits during her time here. Sadly, we have to move her to another preschool due to our recent house move, but we are very grateful for everything that Kindercare-Addington has done for our daughter. Highly recommended!”

“Both of my boys attend Annabels New Brighton and have since around 1 year old. I feel happy leaving the kids in a safe environment, well staffed & provides great learning and activities to keep them occupied. The teachers are qualified & really build a great rapport with the children.”

“I wasn't overly keen on the little one going to day care, those exhausting years ago. But then the little one started and I was needed to do drop off and pick up increasingly for a while. The staff have some sorta knack with kids. My treasure of a child helps them, even informs them of the time and how to go about the required tasks. They have almost become her second home. She has blossomed so much and learning so much about being a good person, sharing toys beds mat time what ever. Learning about compassion for her class mates. This centre has been the best choice for out little treasure mostly due to the staff their patience under standing and willingness to push for that next step in development. I don't know who will be saddest about the eventual moving on to school the staff the little one or the wife and I.”
