“My wife and I celebrated our 25th (Silver) Wedding Anniversary with a meal here. The food, service, and atmosphere were great. The view out over the Waitākere Ranges was beautiful, despite the overcast evening. It was unfortunate that we were unable to have our preferred and reserved outdoor seating, due to the verandah being inaccessible for wheelchairs.”

“We had such a beautiful meal here for two, restaurant is very authentic and service was great. The vegetarian lasagna was amazing and best I have had in Auckland also my husband had the meat lovers pizza which was very good! We finished off with the baklava for dessert which was lovely. “If I was just rating the Indian food, it would get 6 stars (I haven't had the non-Indian food yet, but there is a good selection). I recently moved here from the UK, and generally speaking curries in New Zealand are not as good as the UK, and my test dish - chicken Dansak is either usually not available or not good, but at Mainsail it was brilliant...best curry I have had since coming to NZ, hands down (and better than many I've had in the UK). My wife who is not a big curry eater, enjoyed her Tikka Massalla as well - they get the heat exactly as you request. There was a good choice of non Indian food as well, which we didn't sample. In terms of atmosphere, the interior of the restaurant where we have eaten both times, needs refreshing. The views are good, and with a bit of attention, it could be a great space. The main bar seemed OK, very much a bar, and the outdoor patio looked like a great place to sit when the weather is good, which it wasn't when we went. This is overall a good place, and will be somewhere we come regularly due to the location and the excellent curry. I doubt I will ever sample their non-Indian, which looks fines, because the Indian so darned good!”

“Picked up a Cashew Chicken Noodle, a Sweet and Sour chicken with rice, a yellow curry with rice and some Spring Rolls for my family up from Dunedin today at WoknNoodle Mt Eden. They absolutely loved it. It fed 5 of us for lunch! Thanks Lee, your food always hits the spot!”

“Wow, the "Steak Night" was fantastic. Normally my wife does not allow me to order steak, as 99 times out of 100, the chef does not know how to cook it, or it has not been aged, or the thickness is inconsistent I.e thick at one end and thin at the other. And I complain about it. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the friends I went with talked the restaurant up. We got there around 7 pm, and the place was buzzing, a really good atmosphere with locals obviously supporting this restaurant. The steak was spot on, asked for medium rare, and received a good sized portion of a very tender medium rare scotch fillet with mushroom sauce. Fries and a fresh garden salad finished of a simple but great meal. Yes, i took the time to go and thank the team in the kitchen for a great meal. My friends tell me Taco Night is also well worth going to, so I reckon my wife and I will have to make the journey North from Hamilton to do just that. 100% recommend this restaurant. Oh, one of our friends is celiac, and they were able to cater for her with GF fries and GF Salt and Pepper squid.”

Every corner offers unique seating options and ambiance, making the experience truly special. The staff is delightful and enjoyable to chat with. The "Skull Punch" drink, served with a spectacular fiery show, is a definite recommendation for the thrilling experience it provides. Exploring the various rum-based cocktails was a fun adventure. Surprisingly, the place wasn't overly busy for a Friday night, adding to the overall positive experience.”

“Had a brilliant night, felt like being back in Wrexham. Lovely, friendly staff, great quiz on a Sunday night and very reasonable priced drinks including bottles of Wrexham lager! “Wow the staff here are absolutely amazing! We came for the MLB game and had big screens with NFL as well. The wings were soooo great, the garlic bread was quite dry BUT had a chat with the chef who offered us replacements that were super great (chips and GF garlic bread). Made our entire experience so great. The bartender Gabe also was so amazing and made us feel very welcomed and at home.”
