   Discovered this hidden gem in Christchurch last night. On our way to a production at school we asked our car to give us local restaurant suggestions and this popped up. So we were able to park free in the neighbouring car park, rushed in with 1 hour to spare. Service staff super friendly and the food was amazing for such a reasonable price. Steak was excellent and a huge portion as was the Entree portion of Mushroom Ravioli which was full of mushrooms. Burger also huge and very tasty. We will be back.

   Hoi Polloi Bar and Bistro is an absolute gem in Christchurch. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome with their genuine friendliness and attentive service. They struck the perfect balance between being professional and warm, always checking in at just the right time without ever being intrusive. The team here clearly takes pride in creating a comfortable, inviting atmosphere, which makes the whole dining and bar experience even more enjoyable. Their hospitality alone is reason enough to keep coming back. Highly recommended!

   Absolutely amazing service and dinner! The pork belly is scrumptious, the mac and cheese is really delicious and the steak was cooked to perfection. The entree chicken is also a must try! The staff were polite and attentive which is hard to find these days. A must visit restaurant if you’re visiting Christchurch. 5 stars!

   What a restaurant! This is the place to go if you’re looking for excellent service, super atmosphere, and delicious food, this is the place to go. The service is exceptional and my 4-year old was well looked after with a kids menu and an activity pack that kept her engaged throughout the meal. 5-stars all round!

   An absolutely fantastic restaurant! I came to Christchurch from Ireland on Wednesday, planning to only stay three nights but I am still here five nights later! The hotel is fantastic and the restaurant is equally so and is also a huge part of my decisions to keep extending my stay. The staff are so friendly, professional and attentive. The restaurant is impeccably clean. I have had my breakfast here each morning as part of my stay. The food is so tasty- I keep coming back for more and more of the breakfast buffet! It is SUCH good value and the filtered coffee each morning is especially beautiful! Thank you to all for such a wonderful experience! It has been so comforting while being so far from home.

   The atmosphere is Awsome very clean and tidy very newish however I was on lunch break and thought to try this place. On the door it said fries for 9 bux and it had a cool name add on it I can’t remember same story with the strawberry cocktail for 12 bux. When I saw the food first thing came in mined was I got Ripped Off big time..

   We had our farewell dinner here for our Japanese homestay student. They made up a platter to start with from the Tapas menu which was so good. The meals and atmosphere are fantastic and the staff super friendly. Great range of tap beers with three boys and tuatara hazy. What a great new place. We will be back.
