Great atmosphere. Sometimes service is a little slow but more often than not very good. Some dishes better than others. Muscles not so great - many but dry. Not much sauce. No bread. Suggested to buy a loaf of garlic bread which is overkill for one
Wow, the "Steak Night" was fantastic. Normally my wife does not allow me to order steak, as 99 times out of 100, the chef does not know how to cook it, or it has not been aged, or the thickness is inconsistent I.e thick at one end and thin at the other. And I complain about it. However, I was pleasantly surprised as the friends I went with talked the restaurant up. We got there around 7 pm, and the place was buzzing, a really good atmosphere with locals obviously supporting this restaurant. The steak was spot on, asked for medium rare, and received a good sized portion of a very tender medium rare scotch fillet with mushroom sauce. Fries and a fresh garden salad finished of a simple but great meal. Yes, i took the time to go and thank the team in the kitchen for a great meal. My friends tell me Taco Night is also well worth going to, so I reckon my wife and I will have to make the journey North from Hamilton to do just that. 100% recommend this restaurant. Oh, one of our friends is celiac, and they were able to cater for her with GF fries and GF Salt and Pepper squid.
Nice little place tucked away next to the marina. I like the poppers here, theyβre good value for $12 and they go well with a beer. The pork belly bites are expensive at $20, but theyβre pretty damn delicious. I bet this place is even better in the summer sitting outside. But itβs pretty lively for Wednesday. Must be the steak night.
Been to Sunkist bay many times for casual drinks and food but we also had our engagement party here, it never disappoints! The staff, the food and the atmosphere are what always bring us back! If your visiting the pine harbour area/PΕhutukawa coast itβs a must!
Wonderful staff and fantastic service. For a relatively young establishment (that opened during a global pandemic!), Sarah and her team have created a warm and inviting space. Great tasty food (Chef Vernon is the man!), competitive drink pricing, and a family friendly location.
This place never disappoints. Fabulous food - always fresh and delicious. Cocktails are amazing and they have a frozen margarita machine. The staff are very friendly and attentive . Live music every Saturday afternoon. Located down at Pine harbor marina handy to the ferry . If you want relaxed or humming this bar has it all. Highly recommended
