We had been to Alpha St. before a couple of years ago. So when we returned to NZ, we made sure we booked in again we called thru. Nothing had changed. Food was de-lish, the ambiance was lovely and the girl looked after Jen and I was fantastic. Highly recommend
I thoroughly enjoyed all parts of my dinner at Alpha Street. Notably, the service was excellent, felt very attentive and natural. Did not wait long for our food and drinks. All meals were great, especially the lamb dish. Catered to my allergy with no hesitation. Would highly recommend.
This was our first time to the Alpha Street Kitchen. We had quite a long wait for our meals but when they eventually arrived the waitress gave us a genuine apology for the delay with an explanation, which we appreciated. Then she offered a free dessert as a goodwill gesture. We were most impressed. The food was delicious and presented nicely, the atmosphere warm and welcoming. We will definitely be dining here again and will highly recommend this restaurant to our friends.
What a brilliant place to come after a long week of work. It has a relaxing atmosphere complemented by amazing service A massive thank you to Pavel who made the evening really enjoyable and who actually cares, it is refreshing, good humoured and simply fun. There are endless options in Cambridge, simply something for everyone. BUT Sometimes all you need is a wholesome meal, a friendly chat and a great place to relax.
Near the end of our 9 week visit to NZ from San Francisco (including meals at 2- & 3-hat restaurants such as Cocoro, Hello Beasty, Logan Brown & Onslow), we thought dinner at Alpha Street was one of our best! Thanks to the new owners & chef Nicole. Salt & pepper calamari was equal to our gold standard of Dux in CHCH, & the lamb rump & vegetables (green beans & broccolini) were cooked & plated to perfection. Wine pairings & sticky date pudding were terrific - we hope to be back again on a future visit.
Unexpectedly amazing! Stopped here to grab a meal on a long journey and would have been happy with anything, but this place knocked us out. Quality ingredients superbly cooked and the service was very friendly and efficient. I recommend making a reservation, this place is deservedly popular. The McDonalds style chips were a little incongruous beside such exquisite plates but I enjoyed them anyway.
Great service and quality food. I had the best pork belly and my boyfriend loved his fried chicken burger. Their Raglan coffee is also great, such an amazing flavour to it. Atmosphere is great and the place is very clean and well decorated. Highly recommend!
