“Trendy bar, great craft beers and the waiter was very friendly. Cheers”
Boo's | Whiskey, Food & Music delivers a simple, bistro‑style line‑up that’s straight to the point. Packaging keeps things in good shape to go. A sensible spend for the spread. The team keeps things friendly and organised.
“Cute cosy bar with a fun atmosphere. I learned that Double Brown was a craft beer, and highly revered in this venue.”
“For the price, outstanding. Huge plate of lamb rump and two skewers. Nicely done fresh veg. If you're unfortunate enough to start at the nearby Novotel, ignore their wretched restaurant and take a 15 minute walk to Green Lane Gastro Pub. Well worth it. My meal was lovely and every other plate I saw going out looked great.”
“This bar is really great. Heineken is only NZ$6 if you drink that. Also possible the listen to your favourite song on the jukebox. Best bar in Auckland. Staff is amazing to”
“Nice small bar with gaming machines good spot to have a few beers and wind down”
“Very friendly place. Great if you want a beer with nice down to earth Kiwi people.”
“Excellent service, great food, good wine list, great ambiance ,Not so crowded ie tables are well spaced) and noisy so conversation is easy, and a good place to discuss matters over a meal. Recommended for those who have difficulty hearing.”
“Food place to go for a beer or 3”
“The only thing bad about Raglan Boat Charters is that eventually it'll end and you'll have to go home - and that will be a sad time. Raglan Boat Charters is a great experience. The staff are amazing, friendly, informative, helpful, will bend over backwards to help you out or get you on a tour. We did the sunset tour on a perfect night and it was a blast. In a truly Kiwi experince, Fish and Chips were delivered before we left - the perfect entree to what was to come. We took a tikitour around the Raglan harbour where the sights were enjoyed and the history of the harbour explained. Birdlife was plentiful, as were the stingray! The Captain gave us a few of his secret fishing spots - but you have to do the tour if you want to find out more about that. As we cruised around, a wicked soundtrack of sing-along party hits played and created a really fun atmosphere. The cruise was more than 90 minutes - incredible value for money and an experience you'll be wanting to repeat quickly! 10 stars.”
“Fantastic local brewery with awesome beer, staff and atmosphere. Best of all they are dog welcoming. Treats and all. In dog we trust.”
““No gods or kings, only cocktails.” The vibes here are super chill—perfect if you’re after something more lowkey. The place seems inspired by fantasy themes and games, giving it a mystical feel. We arrived as a group of four around 10:00 pm on a Saturday. The person serving us was really lovely, taking the time to explain the different types of drinks they offer and happily answering our questions about specific liquors or custom requests. She also made some great recommendations. We ordered the White Witch, Banana Bread (brandy), Arkangel (gin), and The Last Word (I think that’s what it was called—Chartreuse-based). I especially enjoyed how fragrant the cocktails were, with the Banana Bread and Arkangel standing out. It was also cool to learn that they make a lot of their liquors and mixers in-house— including infused boozy cucumbers. We had a great time and really appreciated the hospitality. Would definitely love to visit again next time I’m in Wellington.”
“Awesome little brewery. Super friendly and knowledgeable. Delicious. Cheers guys!”
“Always awesome. As a couple we would visit Bootleg at least monthly and each visit is just a great experience. The venue is comfy, rustic, an excellent example of giving life into an old building. The staff go out of their way to welcome us and free tastings are part of the experience. I am not an avid craft beer drinker, but there are so many other options, cider/sours/ lagers...the rhubarb cider when on tap is amazing. Thanks Bootleg team”
“I’ve had two great experiences here! They’ve gone above and beyond to ensure that guests with allergies or restrictions feel not only accommodated, but welcomed. So incredibly kind and friendly! Allergens are clearly noted on the menu and they went out of their way to let me know what precautions they take to minimize the chance of CC. The food was incredible, and I’m glad I went with their recommendations. The note on the menu re: customizing tasting and set menu options to your dietary restrictions was really nice to see. I’m celiac and felt very understood when I noted a severe allergy.”
BEERS by Bacon Brothers leans into a classic fish‑and‑chips approach with tidy execution. Grill work shows a clean sear and rested meats. A sensible spend for the spread. Eggs land on point and toast keeps its crunch.
On the plate at Brew Academy - ChinChiller Brewing, the idea is kebab and pita and well judged. Serve sizes show solid value. Service stays present without fuss. Portions make for an easy, filling stop.
“Amazing experience!! I went there with my family and we all felt we stepped into another world! The place is exactly like the movie scenes from Lord of the Rings and we all felt like we were the movie characters, moving through the place. It really is like walking into a fantasy realm, the houses are all so small and looks like only dwarf or smurf can live inside. But surprisingly, they let us visit inside one of the houses and all the movie props were preserved so well! Everything was so lifelike and some of the props such as the cooking pot was shaking and even had steam blowing out. The fire place was real too, with real wood and real fire. At first i thought it was a fake fire made of paper but when i walked over and felt the heat, o realised it was a real fire!! It's definitely a must visit tourist spot, highly recommend!!”

“Had a great lunch stop on the way to the airport on Tuesday. The range of GP beers is always a selection dilemma, but settled on a February Fresh IPA... delicious. Enjoyed a great VEGAN masala toastie. Guys you really need to refresh the menu and add more plant-based choices!”
“What an experience! Took my girlies to their first drag show and it was incredible. Everything from the gorgeous girls, ambience, food and many laughs were just brilliant. You get to keep the souvenir cups which is a cute memory. Food tasted so homey and just what we needed before continuing the night. Bar Manager and Bartender pushed drinks out the whole time and did an awesome job. Not only the girls performances were so fun and enjoyable to watch but their service throughout the whole night were so attentive and glamorous. Met some incredible people and would highlyyyyy recommend anyone to book for either an occasion or just to try something with friends.”
“Really, really yummy! I recommend the Indo-Chinese chicken momo and the spicy Indreni naan- absolute show stoppers! And great service from Aviskar”

“First time here. Got in early and was welcomed and asked if I wanted to wait in the waiting room and was offered a ling black. Awesome start then asked to go down stairs for my beard trim. Friendly staff with a world of experience. Can't fault it and highly recommend going here. Price was very reasonable. Thank you Jason”
“* Also reviewed on Happy Cow We came here to check this place out and try their vegan options. Yummy pizza (huge, although it was a bit soggy - could've stayed in for a bit longer) and yummy cheesecakes. The atmosphere is nice and the service was fantastic. Highly recommended!”
