Bar pub in New Zealand

“Don’t usually leave reviews but just wanted to share how great this venue was at sorting an incident that happened- a man undid my top at the bar and tried to take it off me. After my friends told me to tell the bar what happened, the bartenders didn’t even question it they immediately informed the management to ask the man to leave and one even gave me a jacket to wear after noticing how uncomfortable i looked. A great example of how these things should be dealt with and making the night a better and safer place for everyone :) thank you so much”

“Warm and friendly atmosphere with cool staff and a good variety of entertainment. Previously hosted the highest RTP % pokies in wellington but has since been reduced likely to accommodate new gaming systems. RTP is still higher than average so definitely worth popping in if you're in the area!”

“The loveliest experience. Very nice staff and the food is delicious. $7 happy hour (5-7.30pm) beers and $12 cocktails too! I think it may be newer owners as the food is Indian and Pizza now which seems different to earlier reviews. They were also more than happy to make us a vegan meal. A must do if coming to Spark Arena. Well definitely be back”

“Haven't been here in years was super impressed with everything. Love the layout & different themes for each seated area, such a great idea to uncorporate a Library never seen that in a restaurant before, it adds a lovely homely feel, my favourite would have to be the Whiskey Lounge, the decor makes you feel you've stepped back in time. Food was fantastic had the classic kiwi steak meal cooked to perfection & our host MJ, what a delightful, courteous human. She certainly knows that menu inside out, very precise, certainly don't get fabulous service like that anymore, thank you MJ. Had a very enjoyable & memorable evening, definitely recommend coming here.”

The staff went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly – super friendly and attentive throughout the night. Food and drinks were delicious, and the service was fast even though the place was busy. Everyone had a great time, and we’ll definitely be coming back for more events. Highly recommend Hunters Inn for parties, gatherings, or just a fun night out!”

“I have had my birthday party here and it was the best place as I don't usually have parties for my birthday, last year November, the bar staff are friendly, they have an awesome Bar Manager Rajat Behl aka Raj. I would definitely suggest this bar to anyone who would like to celebrate their birthday there. My birthday there went perfectly.”

“Lovely Service. Friendly Ambience. My Second time,eating there. First Time,the Food was Beautiful. I ordered the Same Food,Both Times. Big Breakfast,Kids Pancakes,and Kids Ribs. Ribs were a Hefty Size,as was the Amazing Big Breakfast. Pancakes were a Delight. Loved it. Thanks heaps.”

“I came tonight with my sister. It was such a lovely experience. I ordered a burger, and my sister got the shrimp. I had ordered the wrong burger, and they were able to correct the issue, with no additional charges. It was quite busy, but we still got our food in a reasonable time frame. The waitstaff are the best, they are very attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for a spot to eat.”

On the plate at Drift Cafe, Restaurant & Bar, Napier, the idea is classic fish-and-chips and well executed. A sensible spend for the quality. Sweets lean classic and not overly rich. Good value shows in the serve sizes.
