Cafe 39 is a gorgeous little spot in Ponsonby that entails the true nature of hospitality - providing a welcoming, beautiful and well catered environment. Gorgeous cocktails, top tier nibbles, friendly and upbeat staff and sumptuous dΓ©cor are the standouts for me. 10/10 will return.
We had our friends birthday here last night and the service, food, drinks, staff were amazing. However, special shout-out to the waiter he went above and beyond and his keen eye to know when to bring the drinks and food out was fantastic. He knew how to speak to all the guests and make jokes and held conversations he was AMAZING!!
Have been coming to 39 for a while now and have never been disappointed. Renee and the team are fantastic, friendly and hospitable. Always there to charge ya vape, quick to refill your drink happily and have a pack of cards handy along with many board games. Looking to park yourself up for some drinks? Defs recommend 39!
Had one of the best cocktails of my life hereβ¦ the Banana Cake, literally lit on fire at the bar. The service was outstanding, super friendly and the whole atmosphere was warm and welcoming. You can tell this place puts real care into every detail. I honestly couldnβt recommend it highly enough.
Excellent Cocktail bar! If it isnt on the menu, they will know how to make it. Cool vibes and if you sit inside, its a super cosy spot! Can't recommend it enough!
Love this place! Really comfy seats and great food. The person who served us today was super kind and catered to all dietary requirements. Even saw we were trying to take a selfie outside and came took the photo for us! Highly recommend.

Been coming here for a while now and it's the best place to come. Great people, great service, great drinks, great music. Had the unfortunate experience to find myself in Ponsonby on a night when Cafe 39 was closed. Nothing wrong with other Ponsonby establishments, but Cafe 39 is the best one.
