   I drove an hour to get a flagon of apehanger IPA. Was panicking as I thought there wasn’t any on tap ,, but these guys were obliging and made it happen. These guys are amazing . Lovely beer and grabbed some baby face Nelson IPA as well which was stunning . Cool location in Matangi in an old “dairy factory”… definitely old school . Highly recommend

   Always awesome. As a couple we would visit Bootleg at least monthly and each visit is just a great experience. The venue is comfy, rustic, an excellent example of giving life into an old building. The staff go out of their way to welcome us and free tastings are part of the experience. I am not an avid craft beer drinker, but there are so many other options, cider/sours/ lagers...the rhubarb cider when on tap is amazing. Thanks Bootleg team

   Thanks to Google Maps for finding Bootleg Brewery as without it it would have been hard to find. But it's a hidden gem of a brewery. Plenty of beer selection, a food truck that changes daily (check the Facebook page to see what food truck will be on premises) and a great building for a brewery. Staff were attentive and helpful.

   Tucked away behind the old Milk Factory is the Matangi local. Brewed on sight they have some of the finest selection of craft beer. The atmosphere is great. Look out for the music and the food trucks. Must try. A real hidden gem.
