“I went in at about 6pm and placed my order. Service was super quick znd friendly. The kumara chips were perfect - not at all soggy, and not overcooked and dry. The hot dogs were cooked well, with nice, crisp batter (although I do wish takeaway places would go back to battered sausages, which I much prefer to battered saveloys - just a personal preference). The fish was tasty, although the battered fillets fell apart as I tried to lift them out of the paper, and the battered stuck to the chips, which was a bit messy. The spud chips looked nice, but I didn't try them (allergies). As for "atmosphere", it's what you'd expect from a fish & chippy, with a few seats to sit on while you wait. It was very clean. Plenty of nearby parking on the road. I'd go back.”

“Great location along the esplanade and very close to the city centre. Excellent secure parking for my work van during an overnight stay. There was a large fully fenced children’s playground across the road and the scare park beyond that. There’s a lovely park further along the esplanade. The reception staff were pleasant and the room had everything I needed. A heat pump to warm the room up on a cold winters night and a large shower with complimentary soap and shampoo. The reception staff gave me a small bottle of milk for my morning coffee and they provide a kettle and French press with complimentary coffee for my early start the next day. $159 for a single beachfront room.”
