   Absolutely authentic Indian food! From the moment we walked in, the aroma of spices made us feel like we were back in India. The food was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the naan was soft and freshly made, and the biryani was full of authentic taste. The staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, making the whole experience even better. Portions were generous and great value for money. If you’re looking for true Indian flavours and a genuine dining experience, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommended!

   I ordered a Mango Chicken with rice and poppadoms. The curry arrived cold without rice or poppadoms. I called the store using the phone number provided by Doordash, however this number was a random person with no connection to this restaurant. I managed to get hold of the restaurant who told me that I didn't order poppadoms (I had to correct him multiple times as I have it on my receipt) and I had to explain multiple times that the order was missing rice. He asked me to collect the missing items from the store. I asked if it could be delivered to me instead as I have already paid for the service and delivery fees but this option was refused. I asked for a refund instead but this was also refused. The curry is now cold without the items that should have been included and only contains a few small pieces of meat with the remainder of the container being filled with sauce. Awful customer service, poor food quality and I would not recommend to anyone.

   Disappointing Experience at Star of India I visited Star of India for lunch after seeing their advertised lunch specials. However, the restaurant staff did not mention these specials at all unless specifically asked. When I inquired about them, I was made to feel uncomfortable — almost as if asking about the lunch specials was inappropriate or unwelcome. While I was dining, I noticed other customers experiencing the same thing. For instance, an elderly lady asked for a small butter chicken meal, but instead of offering the lunch special (which is half the price), the person behind the counter only mentioned the regular full-priced option or a large portion for an additional charge. Putting that aside, the food itself was quite disappointing — completely lacking in flavour and taste. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant based on the poor service, lack of transparency, and subpar food quality

   So I wanted to share my experience with this restaurant. I made a takeaway order on New Year’s Eve and when we took it home to eat, I found that my curry that I ordered was not the right one so and the problem was we couldn’t get in contact with them because they were closing at nine and we basically picked up our order at 8.50. So the first opportunity I got was the next day I called and spoke to the manager Bibi who was giving me a bit of hassle of why I was telling them the next day I should’ve told him on the same day and then I tried to explain to say how can I tell you when your shop shut and then went on to tell me if I contacted him on his mobile etc there is no mobile number only the shop number on Google which is just not good customer service And then went on to say, can I prove that I’d actually bought it from that Restaurant and I would need my receipt. I didn’t get a receipt with my order he was talking to me like as if I was lying about the food that I got. In the end he said he would replace it which he did. The food is very tasty from here highly recommended. The girls on reception can’t do enough for you. Great service and nice atmosphere.

   Haven't been to this place in a while. Last time we went we got appetizers, that were these pieces of chicken coated in a yogurt sauce with onions and assorted vegetables. For the main meal we got butter chicken. It was sweet, creamy, tomatoey and paired well with its fluffy rice and buttery warm naan bread. I had also had a coke which was good as coke can get

   We ordered 3 dishes, and a stuffed and plain Naan. The plain Naan was light and fluffy, and tasted great. The three main dishes which included a rice dish and butter chicken were all ordered as 'mild' rather than medium or hot. The dishes tasted ok, but lacked depth of flavour (maybe that comes with the hotter options?). Meat in all the dishes was minimal, especially in the case of the lamb rice dish. The stuffed Naan seemed slightly undercooked and was a little doughy. While a nice meal, the lack of flavour in conjunction with the limited amount of meat in the dishes left us feeling that we wouldn't be hurrying back.

   The service was really good, the food was amazing. I would 10/10 recommend and come here again. The naan was perfectly toasted, the butterchicken was perfectly seasoned, more than enough food for us 4 who came to eat. And prices are reasonably good.
