We ordered brunch from the menu, the smoothies just tasted like frothy milk, definitely not worth $10 at all. 2 of us ordered the bacon and eggs and the potato Rostie was cold and undercooked. And me and my partner ordered eggs Benedict. I think it would have to be the worst eggs bene I’ve ever had. The Holindaise sauce was almost white and had no flavour. Overall if the chef says this is cafe quality food. I could be a Michelin star chef. I’ve cooked better food at home. Also staff were nice but they were unprofessional had to come to our table after we ordered to confirm what we ordered, aswell as when the food was delivered the waitress stood there and said “ummm” while holding our food. Overall never coming back, don’t recommend.

Longest wait for food (omelette and poached eggs). We left after an hour and a half as there was still no sign of a bite to eat in sight. No communication to advise of delays on food at all.

Coming into this cafe for breakfast was maybe the worst decision of my day. Not only did the food almost take an hour and they got our coffee orders wrong, but the staff here looked as if this was all their first day on earth. I understand that we came at a busy time, but as an establishment, why would you only have one barista and two cooks? With the number of waiters working here, you would think that you would get your order quite quickly , but all I saw was these people just wandering around the restaurant without a clue in the world about which table to deliver the food too. I hope other people experience this place differently, but I doubt it.

It's wonderful to hear that MÓN Bakery is still delivering great quality all these years later! Based on my experience and what I've found, here's a short review for you. It was a lovely surprise to revisit this Havelock North spot, formerly known as Jackson Bakery, and find it just as good as I remember. The pies were delicious, the coffee was even better, and the sourdough loaves were the perfect treat for the road. It's great to see a family-owned place maintaining its high standards, with dedicated bakers starting fresh from 3am every day. This place definitely comes recommended if you're in the area.

Savory muffin was revolting, and I think one of the ingredients was bad. Service was slow and felt like they didn't really want to serve us. Another staff member did apologize when the person behind me in line got the last mince pie, thinks she was the only one working while everyone else was standing around as the cue got longer. Wont be back here again.

Sadly their coffee is a equivalent to tea. Weak and milky. Couldnt taste the coffee with the cappuccino or lattes. Dont think they use local coffee, they should. Vegetarians arent bland, so why should the food you're making and serving be?? We are a vibrant bunch who deserve the same respect as non. Also, I had egg shells all throughout my little 'muffin scone quiche thing. Full of eggs and no seasoning. Am really disappointed with this place. Looks hip, yet doesn't quite adequately show it in the food and bev they serve. As for the young staff, not very forthcoming, unsure how to treat the older generation, very quiet to be in customer service. In their own world. Do I want mine heated? Yet, just dont use the microwave, what do they do? Yep, microwaved it. Just get an air fryer and be done in the same time it takes in another gadget, just so much more amazing. Try it sometime! Wont be back.

Nice tasting coffee, had a eggs Benedict with a really nice hash brown, the eggs were a little more cooked than I would have expected. The waffle was nice. Staff were friendly and helpful. Bought some really scrumptious looking date scones to take away and eat later. A bit pricey though for what you get.
