   We had our dinner at Boardwalk Bar & Grill. The food was great and we really enjoyed it. However, the service was average and at times we felt like we’d been forgotten about. Hopefully, the service will be more attentive next time, as the food itself was definitely worth it.

   Walked in to The Boardwalk and was greeted very nicely. Gave our drinks order to the girl behind the bar, she then to proceeded to get it wrong. My partner and I sat outside, which was lovely, our young waiter was great, service was good and consistent. My partner ordered the Chef's Kiwi Works, certainly can't complain, it looked very nice, partner was happy. I ordered the Seafood Lasagna, looked very nice, presented well, however, it was not what it said on the menu. The menu said that it consisted of scallops (none), smoked fish (none), it did have chopped up mussels, large prawns on the top layer of lasagna,a few mussels through the rest of it and a piece of cooked salmon on the top under the cheese. Now some people will say I'm being a Karen, but having worked in the food industry,it was disappointing. There was a lot of sauce (even sent out a soup spoon with it), but not a lot of filling. Just disappointed.

   I booked a table for dinner. I had no wait time and I was seated almost immediately . I ordered the eye fillet and it was absolutely delicious. What made the experience amazing was my lovely host Sophie. Her customer service and hospitality was remarkable. From start to end, she made my experience dining in Napier worth the trip. Lovely service Sophie.

   Super busy, great location, outdoor seating is wonderful on a Sunday day with little wind. Staff were informative on special, table we reserved was ready when we arrived, advised of time delay in getting food due to large groups. Food was well worth the wait. Seafood chowder was thick, creamy, full of flavor, and chunks of seafood in it. I would go back just for that if I lived in Napier. The other meals were just as tasty and all well presented. If you are looking for a place to dine with great food, views and staff then make sure you check this one out. Prices are very reasonable for the size meas you get.

   Amazing vegetarian lasagna and crumbed Camembert. Great vibe. Great price for food! Great service. Only thing was my cocktails (expresso martini) tasted like they had no alcohol at $18 each.

   Came here for a celebration. Got a round of cocktails that was fine. However the next round we got tropical sunset x3 and WOW each one tasted different & tasted of straight juice… for $17.. so we took it back told the Man working there that they weren’t as nice as the first, we’re missing ingredients listed to have in them and even the girls at the back of us left both of there’s for the same reason. He was angry and just stared us down as if we were wrong to voice our opinion then proceeded to remake 1 of the drinks to look like this… when we said I’m are you sure it doesn’t look like the picture he was so rude saying yes well it looks like a sunset doesn’t it? Uh no it doesn’t!! RUDE RUDE RUDE

   We decided to share a big breakfast, it was supposed to have the works. That is to say, breakfast sausages, bacon, eggs, mushrooms and the other extras. It wasn't too bad but the sausages looked like they were microwaved and there was no bacon on the plate. I mentioned the bacon to the staff, and nothing happened. We got a price reduced meal on payment, but I won't be back.

   Chips were amazing! Best seasoning we have had in a long time. Service was very genuine and nice. Pizza flavor was great they were a tad soggy but that could have been because we were slow to eat them. Would 100% come again .Great location also.
