“Enjoyed staying in the caravan comfortable bed. Also good facilities nice owner”
“With thanks to Leigh, the host, for providing a beautiful, clean, private and spacious room complete with amenities, a selection of tea, coffee and snacks and a range of cereals and fruit for breakfast! Accessing the room was seamless with an email on everything I needed to know (including wifi) sent to me the day of my check in. Highly recommend this stay if you are in Hastings (solo traveller or a couple!)”
“Very clean and tidy room ,located next to supermarket and 5 minutes to beach, friendly owner , price is very affordable, large kitchen and comfy lounge, very recomended”
“We had a fantastic stay at Marine Land Motel in Napier! The room was spotless, spacious and well equipped, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Perfect location right by the beach and close to cafés and attractions, yet quiet at night. Highly recommend for a comfortable, hassle-free stay!”
“Good location which is quiet despite being on main road. Friendly staff. Very clean, comfortable well appointed rooms. Can recommend and will come again. But keep it to yourself!!”
“The Rotten Apple is the place to be in Hastings. Together with the Common Room the best place! Great atmosphere and nice common area. And the best hostel community Ive ever experienced. So many memories and friends I found here. Definitely my best part in New Zealand so far. If you need an awesome place to stay and work and have the best parties on the weekends, go here!!!!”
“Reading some of these reviews I find really unfair. We had a great stay for 1 week. There were atleast 20 people staying in the hostel at this time and never once did we struggle to find somewhere to cook or chill out in peace. Multiple showers and kitchens. Comments on the clenliness of a hostel is more a reflection on the people staying there than it is the management- it only takes a couple minutes to create a mess. Jason the manager really is a top guy and went out of his way to help me out after an unexpected thing popped up meaning my plans changed, again I find comments criticising him completely out of character and undue. Thanks for having us, would have happily stayed for a couple months to work longer. Jack & Tara”
“Absolutely gorgeous place..will definitely be back”
“Outstanding experience! Haha woohoo!”
“it was a massive suprise from previous acomadation. friendly. nice neighbours. quite at night much love you deserve five star”
“We loved our 1960's style motel stay. Super clean room, plenty of space, very comfy beds n pillows, quality linen. Loved the fully equipped kitchen and amenities. Pool was clean and staff really friendly. Parked right outside our room. Shower pressure a bit slow but not a problem. Would stay again if we return from Australia. Thank you”
“Great place to stay and friendly hosts.”
“Really great hosts and well-thought-out accommodation. A privilege to pat Duke :)”
“Outstanding place to stay. A cosy little haven tucked away in the hill. Great hosts.”
“Amazing place, great hosts and value for money. Definitely will go back”
“I enjoyed my stay here over three weeks. Nice and friendly and tidy clean unit. definitely will use again in the future”
“We attended a wedding here, what a fabulous spot! Tennis court, swimming pool, lovely rolling green lawns and endless views, with really great accommodation.”
“Mainly used for Shearer's accommodation for the local contract, but it's 5 star”
“Excellent b and b. Jacquie is a very attentive hostess and she has thought of everything. Very nice continental breakfast.”
“We stayed at the Apple Inn Motel in Hastings for 2 nights over the Christmas–New Year period while attending a funeral in Hawke’s Bay. With everything booked out and only 1 day to organise our accommodation our options were extremely limited. The only room the Apple Inn had available was a studio, which wouldn't have been our first choice, but we had little alternative. On the positive side, the motel was exceptionally cheap, especially given the time of year. The Wi-Fi was excellent and completely free, which was a pleasant surprise. The lady at reception was absolutely lovely - very friendly, welcoming, and more than happy to help. Don’t be put off by some of the low reviews here. The Apple Inn is an underrated rough diamond that offers outstanding value for money, particularly if you’re looking for something affordable and practical during a busy period.”
“Amazing helpful owners absolutely love our stay here very kid friendly I would highly recommend this place to all great people great environment”
