If I could give zero stars, I would, but unfortunately the laws of Airbnb physics won’t allow it. This place was advertised as a “cozy retreat,” which apparently means cramped, loud, and haunted by the spirit of poor life choices. The photos must have been taken in 2009 with a wide-angle lens and a dream. In reality, the space was so small I had to step outside to change my mind. Cleanliness was more of a suggestion than a practice. I’m fairly certain the dust had tenant rights, and the bathroom had a mysterious smell that no candle, spray, or prayer could defeat. The bed? Let’s just say I’ve slept better on airport floors during delays. The host was “responsive” in the sense that they eventually replied—three business days later—with a message that did not answer the question I asked. Check-in instructions were vague enough to feel like a scavenger hunt, minus the fun and prizes. Noise levels were fantastic if you enjoy listening to traffic, neighbors, and what I assume was either furniture being rearranged or a nightly wrestling match above me. Privacy was also… theoretical. All in all, staying here was an unforgettable experience, mostly because I will spend the rest of my life trying to forget it. Would not recommend unless your travel goals include disappointment, confusion, and character development.
