Very clean and tidy room ,located next to supermarket and 5 minutes to beach, friendly owner , price is very affordable, large kitchen and comfy lounge, very recomended
It's a nice place to stay. The kitchen has a good selection of utensils an oven and plenty of fridges and freezers. The WiFi is reliable and free. The downsides are there's not enough tables to eat at and the rooms are not very wide. Just high.
Owner- manager is a nice guy and the room was adequate for a power nap to complete my journey back to Auckland. Only 1 mishap- my light inside room waa turned off a couple times via mains power which interrupted charging phone. A+ for location and value.
Nice little cozy place 2 min from the beach and very close to the center. Very clean, owner puts a lot of effort in it to keep it all clean thank you for that! Very comfortable bed, room was very clean. And very warm I came in winter. Wide showers! Could dress on really easy. I had a very pleasant stay and stayed for 2 nights. Thank you! Would love to see the place in full summer and full of backpackers! Must be amazing then!
The Room is not too bad but very small, no cleaning, shower and toilet disgusting, need to clean the toilet every time we go. No privacy, the receptionist go into the room (double room) when he think we not here and check everything you do (when you go outside, when you cook..) the owner is cold and rude, we've never seen this before.. detestable. Despite this the hostel is well located, close to the sea and city center so it's great for that.
The manager is very hands on and committed to creating a clean/comfortable environment. The place is cozy and has a nice feel. My dorm bed was a double with a nice mattress, which I quite enjoyed. On the negative side, there was only one outlet in the room. Also, I was charged for the full price of the stay on my listed international card, before check-in opened on my day of arrival (despite HostelWorld stating, 'pay on arrival'). Would stay here again.
A pretty good stay.. the beds were comfortable with sheets which was a nice touch and the shower was the best I have used! However it might have been nice to have a wall socket somewhere near the head end of the beds as the one socket in the room was very inconvenient next to the door and the sockets in the lounge were often taken by other guests other than that, clean, tidy and well run.
