“Echoing the sentiments of the other reviews, this experience was superb. The Kowhai site was beautiful, comfortable, and serene. Private, quiet, and wonderful view. The decor and styling was awesome, I loved their taste. They have thought of everything and you want for nothing during the stay. I highly recommend taking advantage of the catered DIY meal and grazing board. Don’t miss out reading up on the history of Clifton and the family- fascinating story! “What an incredible find! Don't let the lack of online booking dissuade you from staying here- it's an amazing place with truly wonderful hosts. Charlotte and Stephen were so welcoming to the four of us (2 couples), from chatting about their journey to Greenhill, to sharing local recommendations, to amazing homecooked meals (definitely take them up on daily breakfast, and you have to eat dinner in at least once!). We felt very at home, and there were no shortage of spots to relax and soak in the beauty of Hawke's Bay. All guest rooms open to the front porch or the back courtyard, they're spacious and well-appointed, with modern bathrooms and homey touches. The billiard room is especially fun, as was the pool area (complete with cedar 2-person hot tub). We loved meeting all the resident animals (alpacas, mini ponies, goats, dogs, cats), but guests with animal allergies should be aware that a few of the fur babies are indoor pets. I wish we could have stayed longer, Greenhill would be the perfect place to get away from it all for an extended visit to the countryside!”

“The large cottage was lovely and very well appointed. Was not lacking any amenities. Our weather wasn’t that warm so didn’t get to sit outside. The king size bed was so comfortable! I enjoyed a bath (both nights) in the separate bathroom. The bathing products were awesome. The cottages are a bit out of the way but such a great coffee place down the road. So you need to drive a bit to restaurants and wineries which we didn’t mind. There are bikes available to rent onsite. Overall this was one of our favourite places we stayed while in NZ. We loved the country feel but the modern look. Annabel had left fresh eggs which we cooked up for breakfast one am. Lovely!”

“The best place for your fur-baby! Lilla and Jeremy have created a cat safe haven, with lots of lovely sunny spots, hidey-holes, and comfortable sofas for cat naps. The individual spaces are very clean and modern. The shared spaces are beautifully presented with lots of interesting features to keep the kitties happy and entertained (including a fish pond!). My cat Zoe stayed here for almost a month during the summer holidays. I was a bit worried about leaving her for so long, but after meeting Lilla and Jeremy and seeing their space, I knew she was in very loving hands. She was very calm and happy when I collected her, and is as shiny and healthy looking as ever. Thank you so much Lilla and Jeremy.”

Ours is not an easy property to manage being an architectural design and a master builder gold award winner, on a lifestyle property with bespoke needs (like septic tanks and water softeners). We feel very lucky to have Property Scouts look after our interests, as we are overseas, as they have dealt with every issue effectively and professionally.”

“This was an amazing stay for 3 nights in Rose. The rooms are clean and warm, also a well kitted full kitchen. The heated floors in the toilet were a really nice surprise. Privacy was something i wanted and it truely delivered. Amazing, we will be coming back!”

“Millar Road is absolutely incredible. We had the privilege of staying here with our bridal party for our wedding. The entire estate is beautiful. The nice touches of locally sourced breakfast items, locally made real world products all took this accomodation to the next level. Gregory was super accomodating too with early check in, and also letting our dogs stay. Also a huge shoutout to the friendly cleaning staff who serviced the house and villas each day.”

“My wife and I came to Napier for a ‘Wine holiday’ to visit the vineyards in the local area. We chose 415 because of its high reviews on google and trip advisor… It was awesome, the rooms have been beautifully renovated and very warm when it was only 1 degree outside. The location was great, close to restaurants and easy to find on the main beach road. Our hosts Tom & Esther were great company helping us find the vineyards we wanted to visit and guide us away from some we didn’t know were closed. Cooked a great breakfast too!”

“Friendly hosts. Lovely quiet accommodation close to shops. We stayed 2 nights in the studio which is lovely and has everything you need. Unfortunately our stay was unplanned as we attended a tangi so didn’t get to experience much of the relaxing environment. We will definitely be back.”

“We have been with Oxygen for the past 9 years and there has always been great communication, any issues we have encountered have been sorted in a very professional and timely manor. All staff we have dealt with especially Leanne have been awesome to work with. Two of our children have also become renters through Oxygen and are enjoying the experience.”

They had so many good recommendations for us - ranging from beachside fish and chips to high end dinners and wineries! We were delighted by it all and found the stay warm, hospitable, comfortable, and deluxe. Booking a dinner with Gary is a must - so fresh, local, and a variety of flavors and tastes! The inn itself is small (2 rooms) so it’s a best fit for people looking to engage w the hosts and learn about the local food and culture through them.”
