“Great location along the esplanade and very close to the city centre. Excellent secure parking for my work van during an overnight stay. There was a large fully fenced children’s playground across the road and the scare park beyond that. There’s a lovely park further along the esplanade. The reception staff were pleasant and the room had everything I needed. A heat pump to warm the room up on a cold winters night and a large shower with complimentary soap and shampoo. The reception staff gave me a small bottle of milk for my morning coffee and they provide a kettle and French press with complimentary coffee for my early start the next day. $159 for a single beachfront room.”

“Fabulous establishment in CBD Napier with the added availability of a wonderful 'community' room for small group workshops or meetings, providing tables/ chairs ( set up for your requirements prior to use) ,air con / whiteboard / wifi and a great side room with all kitchen needs provided for the day. Plus the added bonus of proximity to ease of car parking and many fabulous cuisine places and Civic Square Park just out the door for lunch.”

“Our family stayed with Grahame and Jenni for 3 nights. They are very friendly and wonderful hosts. Rooms and bathroom are clean and comfortable. Dinner which we ordered was excellent as well as breakfasts. I strongly recommend to stay this B&B when you visit Hawkes Bay.”

“Paid NZ$ 147.61 for 1 night stay in Nov 2023 in Lisa's B & B after 18% discount from credit card. Booked through Agoda. 1. Stayed in a separate room from the main house. It was a quiet and peaceful neighbourhood. 2. The room was clean, neat, tidy and very spacious. The bed was comfortable. 3. The air-con was powerful and cold. 4. The attached toilet and bathroom was clean and spacious too. The water pressure and drainage was good. They provided bath and face towels. 5. The wifi was stable. 6. Lisa was very polite and friendly. She is a great host. 7. They provided simple breakfast such as bread, cereal, yoghurt, jam, etc. 8. Car can be parked at the front porch area. 9. There are some eateries about 2-3 minutes’ drive away.”

“Most amazing Cottage - Hosts left fresh baked bread, fresh eggs and everything we needed to cook. Rooms were beautifully appointed and fireplace well stacked. The fire toasted the room up quickly and I enjoyed the bathtubs. Close to good vineyards as well. Kids played happily in the large garden and then we all went for a walk down to the river. Tom suggested we bring the kids to his farm as we left so they could collect the eggs. Quite possibly the best rental cottage in NZ.”

“If you are looking for a calm and nice hideout this is the best place. Felt like this is our little cottage for the past few days. Stunning morning view as soon you open the windows simply it will take your breath away. Hosted by a lovely family and had a chance to meet their friendly doggy (Rubble) Cottage got a vintage vibe for us felt as if we are back in our home (Sri Lanka). Looking forward to seeing this nice place again.”

“The house looks oldish on the outside but is contemporary on the inside (we like old buildings you see). Wouldn't hesitate to stay again, the owner is super friendly and man his breakfast is really the BEST! Again I say it's worth the $ just for the breakfast. :)”
