   Perfect for kids and adults alike- lots of shades to have picnics in summer and beautiful little gardens and the location by the river is perfect. There's a statue of a horse that kids love to climb onto and cool spots to take photos at too. Lots of big trees. Kids playground had an open water pool...we enjoyed our picnic. Well maintained and enjoyed by all.

   Visiting from the UK, this park is a hidden gem. Great for children and the river and plants are stunning. The War Horse Memorial is evocative and poignant. As a horse owner, I had tears. Visit this place after the Museum. It’s lovely!

   Our first time here! Definitely going back soon. Green. Peaceful. Relaxing. There's a gorgeous children's garden with a park and some water features to take a small dip and cool down. Lovely picnic area. Lots to see and great for getting those steps in. Great place!!

   very fantastic park. lots of creativity when this was designed and it is such a blast when i went there. the pools are very relaxing and so is the slide. also there is a view to the waikato river which i suggest you should see.

   It's a cool little park, apart from the water features needing a bit of TLC my grandchildren love it. Awesome pathways to wander, waterways very tranquil winding through and along the bush pathways. Cross the little bridge.

   This park has always been a must stop on every trip to or through Hamilton. It is one of the more quieter areas and is situated right by the Waikato River with a nice view of the city on the other side. It is a great location for heaps of photos and a walk down to the river bank. It is probably one of my favourite parks in NZ. There is not much else to say other than that it is a great spot for walking, relaxing or photography. NOTE: Photos were taken right after the first flooding that took place in February. The river is not usually that high.
