This is a great option if your dog doesn't have good recall. Not huge but big enough. There are picnic tables, seating and a drinking fountain.
This park is great. My girls can run free play and enjoy being with other socialized dogs. It was great to chat with other fur baby parents.
Great enclosed space for dogs to be off lead and socialise with other pooches. Also great for owners to socialise but big enough to avoid people if you're not in a chatty mood. The big open space is great to throw balls for dogs to chase at full tilt.... but not so big that you get exhausted from fetching them yourself when your dog won't bring it back!! Big shady trees, picnic tables, benches to sit on, dog water fountain... what more could you ask for.
First time here, it was absolutely stunning even though it was an overcast day. Lots of trails for the pup, a few swimming in the mighty Waikato & loving it It would be good if there was more signage to get to the parking area.
Super special place for dogs to come and have a blast. Greatly maintained, fully equipped, good parking. It has everything! Fully fenced, has fresh water, rubbish bins, and a few shades for hot days.
Saturday afternoon. Young lads in American style clothes have no control on their pity bull whatever dogs. My old girl was bailed up in a corner trying to get away. People. A command to your dog is expected to be followed by your dog, instead of standing there repeating the same to it.
More dogs and owners would use this park if they got rid of the big mud puddle near the water tap
The enclosure is disappointingly small given the size of the park. And because I have encountered a number of aggressive dogs in the enclosure, I am nervous about taking my dog there now-days. However, the park itself is a wonderful space to walk the dog and I would highly recommend as an alternative.
Disappointed in the size of the enclosure, given the size of the park. Still, great to have a place where you can let your dog off-lead and just be a dog with other dogs.
Nice little dog park. Gates are all wonky and the first time we went we thought it was closed off but found out later you have to remove the chain on the fence. They never have any dog poo bags when we go so make sure to bring your own always.
