When weather is not ideal, this is how it looks like .... Great place for overnight stopover, away from the main road, quite with beautiful water view.
Wonderful, clean space to camp for free by the river. It has nearby toilets and the area is quite large. The people maintaining this place are doing a great job.

Horahora Domain is a very pretty spot for a stopover night. We arrived late in the evening but there were still quite a few spots left. The toilets are fine, but there aren't any lights so I had to use my cellphone. The grounds keeper is very friendly and talkative. All in all a great spot that is totally free!
Madly popular place during the main holidays for people who like to be at the edge of a lake and persue water sports. Mature trees for shade and an ablution block make this basic camping experience a typical Kiwi holiday spot. Close to but away from the main traffic route, nights are silent and the kids are safe as long as you take standard precautions around water.
