“Did this on a bike without knowing how nice it was gonna be. Some hills are a bit rough if you haven't hopped on a bike in a decade and the kids pissed you off so much you hired a bike and went for a ride to only realise, you're the problem and go back home with a feed to make up for being impatient. But yeah cool track”
“Nice place to visit… Always Quiet. Good hiking experience, cool waterfalls. Birds chirping, and a good place to relax and think”
“Never heard about this waterfall before and just spotted it on the way from Tauranga to Auckland. Really cool waterfall. Not huge but still decent size. Went here in winter on a lightly raining day, so there it was not busy at all.”
“We did 6h and 15km hike with in total almost 1km up, starting Lowlevel loop track up to Waipapa Track all the wau upto Pukekohatu and then on the top along Old North-South route and down with Pylon Peak Track. This route only for very fit and experienced. Beautiful small tracks through many different Flora and Fauna. Marked routes but at times hard to found.”
“This hike is definitely not for the unfit. Within a few minutes of the hike you encounter many flights of stairs. Fortunately within 15 minutes of the hike you encounter some kauri trees. You may keep going and do the loop.”
“They have an awesome community pool that the kids love to go down and swim and play in from the beginning of summer to the end of summer. Good amount of shade cover for the parents watching kids swim. Life guard always on duty when the pool is open. I think it’s $2 under under 12 and $4 over 12.”
“A little beautiful Jem of a place, so quiet and the friendliest people and has everything you need. Will definitely be back to stay here longer.”
“Great two hour stop. We did the windows walk. This included approximately 100 man made steps. Dark and wet mining tunnels ( bring a light and waterproof shoes). Part of the lower track is closed, so to make it a loop take the Battery track back. We didn't and got to do the 100 steps all over again! Two suspension bridges to cross to get there. One has a lot of bounce! Easy parking with a toilet. Probably a 3 out of 10 on strenuous ( only because of the stairs). Not handicap friendly. Bad knees; beware.”
“Such a unique place at the heart of Hamilton! I initially thought this would like any other botanical gardens but I was wrong. The concept of having different themed gardens (Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Indian) was quite refreshing to see and that made the whole experience unique and engaging throughout the visit. Highly recommend if you’re looking to take professional photos as the garden has a lot of color and diverse options.”
“A great day out! Our Track & Trail Cycle Adventures group of 9 riders stopped at Rhubarb Cafe, crossed the swing bridge at Arapuni and passed three hydro stations on our ride from Pokaiwhenua stream to Mangakino.”
“We visited Ninja Hamilton and I have to say that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I want to extend a big thank you to the team. They were incredibly supportive and so friendly. They made the entire experience better. This is a fantastic place, and I highly recommend a visit. It's the perfect outing, even if it's a rainy day.”
“This is a great nature walk for people of all ages and great for dog owners except those who don't adhere to the rules by letting there dogs of the leash which I saw today while walking my dog it only takes one incident of an attack of any kind and legislation will bank dogs from entering the park there are plenty of signs informing dog owners that dogs must be on a leash at all times while in the park and for those few who ignore this simple rule jeopardize the park for the rest of us dog owners who use the place to exercise our pets thanks lady you know who you are”
“Very well maintained with a good variety of flowers. Built for the aristocracy to escape the harsh environment.”
“A beautifully laid out garden, it appears to be a very authentic representation of an Italian Renaissance Garden.”
“Wonderful story of Arboretums history. Lovely walk around - about 2 hrs with kids. Plenty art installations to see. Lovely Cafe with cake & ice cream. There's also Ruru Retreat - a cottage on site you can book through booking .com ( recommended).”
“Team Sandy & Tulio Jones did an excellent job. Very professional and great communication. Work done on time with no hassle. It looks amazing. Thank you so much. Highly recommend to everyone.”

“Great park. Very popular. All sorts and sizes running around.”
“Awesome place a bit busy now and then but overall very nice Great for trying to teach kids the road rules (keep to the left)”
“It is a beautiful lake n easy walk way.”
“Great location, lot of things to play on for all age groups”
“This is a camping site for all vehicles, close to the Rugby club, maintained by the local domain. Te Kauwhata is only about an hour drive from Auckland airport. A 5 dollar donation is requested for, quite justifiable, as the area has toilets, sink and a dumping station besides a cafe. Though the area for camping is marked, vehicles were seen in parking lots other than member lots. Tents were also seen.”
“The biggest and the most interesting skate park suitable every age I have been to in NZ. Awesome! My kids love it!”
“Absolutely nice location and good customer service to get your coffee”
“This is a pretty little urban lake with plenty of free parking so you can enjoy the loop track and walk around the whole lake!”
“Good place to camp for free, right next to the river.”
“Great spot for an overnight spot, toilets are were clean. Not very big so make sure you get in early in the busy periods.”
“The children's playground I'd fabulous and offers children a safe place to play and exercise. There is a closed off area for smaller children to safely play.”
“Beautiful views, songs of the tui. This is a gem. Lots to do and see. Love it”
“Such an awesome spot to check out! The bridge has amazing views over the gorge and the Waikato River definitely worth the stop if you’re in the area. It’s a bit of a hidden gem and not too crowded, which makes it even better. The walk across can be a little wobbly but that just adds to the fun. There’s also a nice short track nearby and a café close by for a coffee after. Great place for photos and a bit of adventure!”
