A wonderful and easy walk surrounded by nature! The trail is well-maintained and perfect for a relaxing stroll while taking in the beautiful scenery. If you plan to explore the cave, make sure to bring a torch, as it can get quite dark inside. Also, consider bringing swimwear you might be tempted to take a refreshing dip along the way. A great spot for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike!

What an incredible way to spend the day. Loved seeing the families enjoying their day out, bombing off the Jetty, and swimming in the beautiful water. I'm disappointed I never found this place until now, Such a jem!!

The start of some good walks on Pirongia. River swimming at the car park (check water quality first), an easy walk along the river to a small cave then some tramping tracks. Car park can get busy when it is sunny.

Been here many times and walked up to the campsite too with a picnic lunch. Camped out a few times there with our children when they were young. March 2023 saw several trout in the stream.

A fantastic walk through native bush, streams down to the Kaniwhaniwha caves...definitely need a head torch for this experience. 7km loop unless you want to add another 1.2hr hike to see the biggest Kauri tree. Great swimming spot too. A must do!

Beautiful place for those that love to be surrounded by nature, easy mostly flat terrain, we were able to take the Stroller up to the campsite which was a 45min walk. There are swimming & picnic spots at the main carpark area which also has a toilet (long drop) .. The cave is a must do kids loved it.
