   We are a group of Playcentre Mums. We’ve booked the Rob Waddell Lodge now for 3 years. We adore it. All the facilities are perfect for a group who like to cook great food. The kitchen rocks. The cafe is awesome for treats, we swim in the lake, and walk the paths. It’s beautiful. And Larry the office cat is FABULOUS

   Lovely location, paired with a lovely lake view. Rooms and chateaus were neat, clean and well presented. They are in great condition, and the mattresses were very springy and quite comfortable. One particular problem was that the top bunk in the rooms seemed quite hazardous as they didn’t have any sort of railing. Well recommended.

   My first time here and sadly it was a bit of a disappointment. I booked a spot at the lower camp, hoping for nice lake views. I arrived in the evening so it was only in the morning when I realized they sent me to the upper camp and instead of the lake, I was looking at the dump station. I also didn't appreciate the leaf blowing guy starting at 8:30am and ruining my plans for a relaxed morning.

   Lovely camping spot by Lake Karapiro with a cafe across the road. Camp kitchen and bathroom were clean. The fridge doesn’t seem to be working that well when I visited. Large camping grounds. Would recommend the upper section as it’s closer to the amenities. Reception staff were lovely and checking in was nice and quick. Thank you for a lovely stay!

   One of the best campsites I’ve been to in North Island. At only $20 a night, there were spotless facilities such as toilets, showers, kitchen, and laundry. The grounds themselves were immaculate and the lake easily accessible. It’s a beautiful place to stop and have a swim before settling in for the night.
