Did this on a bike without knowing how nice it was gonna be. Some hills are a bit rough if you haven't hopped on a bike in a decade and the kids pissed you off so much you hired a bike and went for a ride to only realise, you're the problem and go back home with a feed to make up for being impatient. But yeah cool track

A very peacefull scenic cycling way sometimes shared for walking as well, away from road noise and smoky air, fresh and clean

A major draw-card, that is well used. Great for walking, running, young or old. Advisable to keep the ears open, as sometimes cyclists can be both rude and dangerous... so, be aware.

A beautiful, scenic walk on a Sunday afternoon with the family and our dogs. Loved it.

I strongly recommend not taking a bicycle down here. The surface is cobbles/paving, where there are various sections in desperate need of repair. I got my front wheel trapped in one of the worse areas and was very close to going head-over-heals; 47mm tyre width, so we're talking a generous gravel bike tyre here. C'mon Hamilton Council, you've got the sublime Ngaruawahia to Te Rapa trail leading onto this nonsense. There is simply no excuse to having a dangerous pathway open to the public! Also, I landed up having to exit the pathway due to a closure where the detour signage was marginal at best.

Beautiful and Serene. I usually come across friendly people whenever I take a stroll down from the Waikato river walk point (Pukete Rd) till the Waikato Equestrian Centre. Watching horses chill around adds to the charm.

A hidden track hence only 90 reviews. Great track along the river but you can’t go into the river. The sign post is great, waikato river now contributes to ~40% of Auckland drinking water, di it plays a vital role to the future entity A.

Awesome walk along the river. Wheelchair accessible in most parts, a few steep pushes/hills. Non wheelie friendly areas identified in map photos
