“This is where I go for the spices the supermarket no longer stocks. For me, in particular, mace for my plum sauce recipe. But they stock a lot of indian foods and haberdashery from india. That includes incense, individual spices for cooking your own ethnic food. If you're Indian or from the middle east, and in Dunedin, drop by. The proprietor is a lovely guy and you just pat your heart by way of greeting if you don't have the language.”

“I had a great dine-in experience here. The atmosphere was very good and the servers were very polite and helpful. Unfortunately I ordered a main gnocchi dish and got a spaghetti starter instead but i was hungry enough to not care or say anything. Regardless the pasta was delicious and the restaurant was also able to provide complimentary parmesan to accompany my meal. The portion size of the hot chips for a starter was big and great value. I got my snow chains there for a reasonable price and in an uncommon size (most other places are so overpriced…). The friendly owner even showed me how to put them on and gave me a great advice where I could get my car repaired. Service at its finest!”
