This Starbucks location is a gem in the heart of Dunedin. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to relax, work, or catch up with friends. The service is consistently excellent; the baristas are friendly, efficient, and always ready to make a great recommendation if you want to try something new. The coffee and beverages are standard Starbucks quality, which means reliably delicious and the selection of food items is solid for a quick snack or light breakfast. Whether you're looking for a quick takeaway coffee (especially for an extra hot cafe mocha) to start your day or a comfortable place to sit and stay a while, this location nails the balance. Highly recommended!

Lucy truly saved my day! I had asked someone else to help warm my order, but unfortunately, it wasn’t done. I then spoke to Lucy, and she handled the situation with kindness and professionalism. She calmly helped me feel at ease and took care of everything, including warming my croissant perfectly. Lucy is incredibly responsible, kind, and customer-focused. Her excellent service turned my experience around. Thank you, Lucyβ€”you’re a star!

Love starbux and was extremely excited when I came across this place, you can always garentee great coffee... I ordered a caramel Latte and an apple and Blueberry muffin. Never in my life have a had a more crumply muffin... I had to piece tiny little pieces into my mouth as every time I touched it, it just crumbled... actually in shock at this muffin... as for the coffee, could not taste the caramel, and could have just bought it at any backdoor basic coffee shop... I deffs would not reccomend his place, and I won't be going back...

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the Cafe has a nice atmosphere, but their coffee is sorely lacking in quality. I bought a slice and a cappuccino. The slice tasted great and was a very nice mix of sweet and savoury so as to not be overpowering. The coffee however tasted awful and burnt. The unusual thing is that unlike normal when you get a bad coffee, it did not taste like it was set to the wrong grind or had been made incorrectly, so i am fairly certain that it is nothing to do with the barista who made it. It tasted like the beans were just old and stale and that they had been trying to roast them until they turn to charcoal instead of a nicely roasted coffee bean. I am not sure if they are roasted in house or roasted at a central location and distributed across their cafes, but someone seriously messed up the roast. I am not sure it this is normal or not for starbucks coffee since I had never been there before, but based on this experience I am definitely not going back and would recommend no one else does either. I would however recommend trying allpress instead, they have great coffee that they roast fresh in house, they do not burn it, and it always has a perfect smooth taste. If you truly love coffee, you deserve to have coffee that is actually good, not the stuff starbucks makes with an acrid burnt taste. This review would have been one star since the whole point of a coffee shop is the coffee, but the staff were excellent and I am giving it 2 stars instead to reflect that.

Vintage Starbucks experience: full of US nostalgia of the Pacific Northwest. The espresso doesn’t compare with local antipodean options, but no one goes to Starbucks as a coffee purist. Starbucks shines for their vast adaptability whereby they optimize the experience for each customer. Here, the customer is always right; and that is the hallmark success of every great American chain of international export.

Great atmosphere and they have got lots of coffee options, both cold and hot. They've also got free wifi in case you want to get your work done sitting there.

Staff are friendly with good service. Nice and tidy premises. Coffee was hot and a good size. Food was acceptable

Very popular place! It was very busy when we went here but drinks didn’t take too long to be ready. It wasn’t the warmest in there but not freezing. The staff were friendly so no complaints. 4/5 due to the room temperature, otherwise highly recommended.
