“The best Japanese/ Latin American food I’ve ever had. Everything was perfect from the service to drinks and food. Chefs Eiko and Komo cook to perfection. I loved that they came to the table to explain the dish. I don’t eat coriander, they also asked if I was allergic, just to make sure the food was ok for me to eat. I can’t recommend this place enough.”

“A good bakery has NO food at the end of the day, good food, friendly staff and a real busy bakery. A great place to grab a feed on the run or sit down and relax. Yes this place gets frantically busy, but 4 cashier places helps move you along. But relax and select well or try something knew.”

“This is as good as it gets. Really good Chinese food. Authentic Chinese and kiwi favourites as well. Nice, friendly service. Bathroom has had a major, much needed upgrade. In fact the whole place has been upgraded. We will definitely be back. From the way that the other customers (four different groups, two Chinese, two kiwi) related to the staff, you could tell that they weren't there their first time. It's a good sign when customers come back. We had the curry chicken, cha shao pork (much bigger dish than in the menu photo), Fu Yong egg (omelette thingy) and stir fried veggies. All delicious.”

“Speights went out of their way to make a triple birthday dinner super special for my sons. They allowed us to go in earlier and set up decorations and put the 3 cakes in the chiller. They supplied little plates and napkins for them to be served on after dinner Although there was close to 30 people eating the waitress had it all under control and the meals came to the table quickly and all the meals were delicious, with generous sizes.”

“I dined here with my partner for dinner and from start to finish we had outstanding service. Very friendly and welcoming staff with warm smiles. Our food wasn’t rushed out which we loved including not rushing our our main after entree. The food was amazing! One of the best we have had and so nicely presented. “The best yum cha in Christchurch. We ordered so many dishes and it was all good. Definitely have the charcoal buns and red cheong fun wrapped around fried fritters with prawn in the middle. Absolutely divine. Service is great too.”

When ever I am in Kaiapoi I am always sure to stop by and buy a tray of sushi. Keep doing what you're doing guys, because what ever you're doing it's working.”
