“Both my boys attend Riccarton Kindercare and they love it! All teachers and staff members are warm and welcoming, it’s clear that they are passionate about their work and the children that attend the centre. We have noticed such a change in my eldest since attending Riccarton Kindercare, he has come out of his shell enormously and creating relationships with those around him. My 6 month old has settled so well and he is always smiling when we collect him. We have a warm hand over and the communication from teachers regarding needs/wants/learning is always amazing! Can’t recommend enough!”

“Went to the Holden show at Wolf Brook arena this Saturday. Wasn't disappointed. Excellent year coverage with beautifully turned out cars, utes and a few vans. I didn't think to take pics for posting but these are the few I did take.”

On the plate at Lone Star Manchester St, the idea is grill‑focused and well judged. Grill work shows a clean sear and rested meats. Sweets lean classic and not overly rich. Portions are generous yet well judged.

“Mean place to chill out with some bros, but you're at high risk of an angry mother telling you that you're a threat to children and that you simply MUST leave the premises, because a public park is not suitable for any individuals over the age of 11. The individual who threatened to call the authorities on me knows who they are, and they should know what they did wrong. If they still believe that they were in the right, and can do no wrong, I request that they take a long look in the mirror and think, "How did I turn down such a dark and depressing path?" Great experience overall, 10/10, would argue with that Karen again, loved every second of it.”

“I love this pool, I always come here when I can. The kids love swimming in the different sized pools. We always have fun can't wait to come here again soon. I definitely recommend coming here it's a great place for all ages with swim equipment that you can buy at the front desk like googles, swim wear, and water toys for the kids. I've also heard that there's a gym, but haven't had a look even tho I've been going here for years.”

“Wide open green space next to the red zone with partial fencing. Tennis court, petanque boulodrome, basic playground and public toilets. Underutilised sport fields with views of the Port Hills and close to the Otakaro-Avon Corridor. A well kept secret in Avondale.”

“My daughter has been in BS Fendalton for almost a year. She is always happy staying in the center and getting more and more confidence in social skills and preparation for school. As a parent, we are also quite happy to see our child playing, eating and learning all well in here. We are always comfortable to get in touch with any teacher in the center. The four-year group which is a program for preschoolers ready to school, is running so well and my daughter keeps talking about it to us every time she learns new stuff. There are also lots of outside-centre activities each week, from which Children can get chances to be closer to nature and our community. We really recommend families to have their children in here if they are looking for a center nearby.”

“A shout out to Jude in furnishings. Absolutely brilliant service. I was trying to match a duvet cover to pillow cases, trying different colours. Jude went out of her way to make sure I went home satisfied with my selection. I really valued her input. Once again thanks Jude for your time on Sunday, my guest bedroom looks fantastic. I popped in earlier, made a purchase, and then realised my Farmers Club Card hadn't been linked up properly. When I went back to the till for a quick query, Tom stepped right in. He was brilliant! He sorted the whole purchase out in a flash, making sure my card was added so I got all my points. Tom was so friendly and efficient - he never made me feel like I was holding him up, which I really appreciated. A genuinely great shopping experience, all thanks to Tom. “I was looking for a bra and decided to inquire about a bra fitting and I'm so glad I did. Despite my initial nervousness, the experience proved pleasant. A sales member began by asking my preference then checking bra fits, later consulting a colleague for another opinion. This resulted in a smooth process, and pinpointing the perfect bra. Both assistants ensured my comfort throughout. Unfortunately, I have forgotten their names but thank you so very much.”

“Recently hosted a bingo night there for a crowd of about 100, and had the best experience! The staff were friendly and helpful, from the initial enquiry right through the event and afterwards. The room we held the event at was warm and comfortable, with great lighting and seating options, as well as a PA, screens and microphone ready to use. The bar staff are efficient with serving a great variety of food and drinks at good prices. I'm now trying to find excuses to organise more events, just because it was so easy and fun!”

“Nice park. Visitors can free to use the barbecue grill and have a party there. Easy to get there. Christchurch Metro Bus stop just on Mathers Road outside the park (bus 60).”
