   Love the fact this pool doesn’t use as much chlorine - they boast they are the cleanest pool. Nothing wrong with the 25m pool. The changing rooms need a spruce up though. They are cold, not ideal at this time of year and will put off a lot of people, especially the elderly and disabled for whom a low impact form of exercise like swimming is ideal. I wonder how the visitor demographics change when cold weather hits? Pity the elderly and disabled who live nearby, who can’t afford or are unable to drive across town to use facilities with decent heating The pool surround is warm, however when you go in the changing rooms feels like the temp drops about 10 degrees. Need hairdryers and counters to rest your things by them too. Just a bit of work to sort of the changing rooms would make the place a lot more appealing and undoubtably result in increased patronage over winter.

2. IZZYSONOFHELL “Izzy.Son.Of.Hell” ★★★★★

   I love this pool, I always come here when I can. The kids love swimming in the different sized pools. We always have fun can't wait to come here again soon. I definitely recommend coming here it's a great place for all ages with swim equipment that you can buy at the front desk like googles, swim wear, and water toys for the kids. I've also heard that there's a gym, but haven't had a look even tho I've been going here for years.

   I'm not one to write bad reviews but this pool was a real let down. The pool was extremely dirty & both lifeguards on duty were on their phones & not looking at swimmers. There were two boys in the smaller pool constantly shouting abuse at me & my partner & making inappropriate gestures towards me the entire time. The whole experience was very uncomfortable. Safe to say we didn't stay long.

   Completely disappointed in wharenui pool after all the effects to help save it and the relationship they are meant to have with wharenui school. They give the school the Completely inappropriate time slots for the school to take young kids swimming .wrong caregiver of 8 won't be happening in winter. Won't be taking my kids swimming there again..WHARENUI POOL seen your review thaTs not true cos I complained to the school they said they have to take what time slots you make avaliable to them. Young kids should be swimming in term 1 or term 4 not winter

   The tutor is detailed in her descriptions of swimming techniques which enables me to understand clearly what I need to change to improve my own techniques. By the second lesson I've started on drills that have already made a noticable difference in the power of my arms pulling through the water. I'm very happy with the quality of the adult swimming lessons.
