“Stonefield Wetlands Park is a great place to visit for a relaxing day in nature. It is a perfect place to go for a walk, have a picnic, or do some birdwatching. The park is also a great place for families with children. Here is a summary of the pros and cons of Stonefield Wetlands Park: Pros: Beautiful natural scenery Wide variety of wildlife Well-maintained walking trail Playground, picnic area, and barbecue area Popular spot for fishing Cons: Small park Can be crowded on weekends. Overall, I highly recommend Stonefield Wetlands Park to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable day in nature.”
“We booked the community room for our Xmas function. It was a bit warm without any air conditioner but apart from that it was a great location and will definitely go there again. Next time we will bring fans.”

“Beautiful place and great weekend spot out with friends and family.”
“Lake Panorama is a truly wonderful place to visit. Perfect for young kids and even not so young kids. As you walk around the lake you will see a number of "hidden" secrets. Young and old definitely won't be bored. There are lots of ducks and other wildlife, plus the lake is absolutely stunning. I highly recommend this place.”
“Blockhouse Bay Beach Reserve, located in Auckland's Blockhouse Bay suburb, is a charming spot offering a blend of natural beauty and recreational amenities. The reserve features a small beach with soft sand, making it suitable for swimming, picnicking, and leisurely walks along the shore. Families will appreciate the well-maintained playground, providing a safe and enjoyable area for children. The surrounding greenery, complete with picnic tables and benches, offers a serene environment for relaxation. Facilities such as public toilets and outdoor showers are available for visitor convenience. However, parking can be limited during peak times, so arriving early is advisable. While the beach is relatively modest in size, its tranquil atmosphere and scenic views make it a delightful destination for both locals and tourists seeking a peaceful retreat.”
“Great for bikes and scooters. Basically a large West Auckland park that runs alongside Henderson and a creek. Ends up at the cycleway into town CBD alongside the Norwestern Motorway (in between Lincoln and Te Atatū South on-ramps). Fun walk/ ride. Interesting trees in the international garden area!”
“Amazing park. Love to take the dog here. Carpark near the men's shed has a hose to wash off the dog after playing in the ponds.”
“Intimate, cool, safe, lots of shade, love seats, a kids park with picnic tables,Kingfishers (alot) a great view of Mangere Mountain, at night the same view is of distant lights over water. Very romantic. Me my fav. is when the tide goes out there are miles of coastal walking available, wear sensible shoes and enjoy having the place to youself. Besides me and the dog, and the Kingfishers.”
“Nice walking track. Beautiful trees!”
“Good place to hang out with the kids.”
“Excellent return walking trip on labour day from henderson with a picnic in between. Fave spot: see photo. Really enjoyed reading cute signs along the walk. Noticed the changes & loved seeing the loner black chicken doing his thing.”
“One of the lesser known beaches in the area . Located next to the Curran Street on ramp most people will just drive past and not notice it . It will become a better beach after Watercare finishes the storm water discharge outlets which currently discharge near the beach . Its a funny little stop with fantastic views of the Harbour Bridge and the Chelsea Sugar refinery . Next time you should park your car in Sarsfield Street and walk down the walkway and take the time to enjoy this slice of heaven.”
“Well if you want alone time Mills bay is the place. Quite, hardly see anyone. My best spot to relax during my off days.”

“Quiet little spot for a little contemplation of the world. Lovely view. Good also for launching a boat and fishing at high tide (unless you want muddy feet!). Not a beach as such but a tidal creek, so mostly mud.”
“Beautiful beach and beautiful bushwalks for dogs walk on sand a bit a long walk to the car park off-road no restroom picnic table no barbecue”
“This is a great place for relaxing, also good for the kids. There are two big waterslides. But it would be good to renovate a bit here and there, but it does not affecting the good experience.”
“nice hiking trail ! well kept and plenty of campgrounds at start of trail and here ! start of trail has restroom and access to the beach:)”
“Very calm water where you can walk out a fair bit before it gets deep. Water is super clean, and close to toilet facilities.”
“Piha Beach in New Zealand boasts awe-inspiring views, Phia Beach in New Zealand offers breathtaking views from the mountain top—an unforgettable experience that I highly recommend—an absolute gem.”
“This track was mean but lots of stairs awesome views once at the top”
“Fantastic experience for locals and tourists alike. The pricing is very fair considering what’s involved. You’re given a fair choice of courses to partake in to suit all ages. The courses are various, which keeps it interesting no matter your skill level or confidence with heights. At heights varying from 1 to 10 metres, you’ll have to go through tunnels, across beams, weave in between posts or even just walk the tightrope with nothing but a cable to keep your balance. Highly recommend the day out.”
“Muriwai Beach is a breathtaking natural wonder! The rugged black sand, and powerful waves make it a must-visit. Great for walks, photography, and just admiring the scenery. Remember to be careful near the water.”
“Great hidden beach on a gravel road but still not too far form auckland CBD.we were lucky enough to see this beautiful place on our last day in NZ and it did not disappoint. Decent fishing from the multiple rock locations with a handful of streams that the kids can play in (water is hot if the weather is). Definitely worth checking out”
“Lovely beach area. Nice beach to walk on.”
“Really sweet, friendly and fun staff who took care of us from start to finish. Had an amazing time and love the photos and shirts we got! Will definitely recommend.”
“Visited this morning and spent 2-3 hours doing the loop (probably only takes 30 mins) but was took my time taking pictures and picking my jaw off the floor from the views. The loop does loop around to and from the car park. I saw a review suggesting women don’t go alone but I did and felt safe on the trail. The views are incredible and the loop itself isn’t hard, just some incline and decline. Had service the whole loop, it was clean and beautiful! Absolutely recommend.”
