Nice quaint beach which has a hiking trail too, but there is no sandy beach. It is a marshy beach where locals come to fish. It is a nice spot to relax within the city.

Quite little beach, lovely for picnics and it has a nice easy walking track to Blockhouse Bay Beach. The ocean is not suitable for swimming which is a shame because the water looks inviting. When the tide is out you can walk around the rocks but need to be mindful of quick sand. No car access to the beach front, so you have to carry everything down and back up a steep hill. Plenty of road parking at the top, try to make 1 trip with everything to avoid walking up the hill continuously. Read the Green Bay Beach signs as it gives you important information you must know.

On 24/9/2023, my husband and I went to Green Bay Beach for a walk. Unfortunately, the weather was not so good and it rained for most of the day. We managed to take a stroll along the beach. There was a steep trail leading to the beach and we took our steps carefully as the floor was very slippery. There were some people walking their dogs, fishing and walking there. The beach was quite quiet so we could enjoy the tranquility and peacefulness there. We recommend you to wear your gumboots there as the beach is muddy and slippery.

Green Bay Beach in Auckland is a wonderful hidden spot! It's peaceful and has beautiful views. The sandy shore and calm water make it great for swimming and relaxing. It's a perfect place to enjoy nature and have a quiet picnic. You should definitely visit if you love beaches and nature!

This is the first beach I ever visited in New Zealand. Though there were no waves around but we found lots of shells, trees, mountaineer rocks. The plave were so natural amd I enjoyed walking along the shore.

Lovely place, not much for swim as it is not recommended. But the walk is good. Beautiful place for quiet picnic.

Well maintained with scenic views for a nice leisurely walk or picnic.

Not a bad walk when the tide is out. Wellingtons are the best footwear for a beach like this to navigate your way across mud, stones, shells, tree branches and rocks. Lots of wee crabs too. The views are interesting, made more so with rock balancing!
