nice hiking trail ! well kept and plenty of campgrounds at start of trail and here ! start of trail has restroom and access to the beach:)
The best spot to camp on the trail!
Lovely campsite. Very sad that it's closed down
A nice remote camp site in the waitakere! It was far enough to not have too many campers. There is a lovely swimming hole not too far from the camp. The view all around the camp is superb. Native trees lines the ravine give the feeling of living in a prehistoric NZ. Prepare for mosquitoes in the evenings as there are plenty of it.
Great spot for a swim
Delightful little campsite next to a lovely fresh water stream. You need to hike in. Campsite has three grass levels to it with a shelter for cooking your food and a nice wooden bench table to eat at and hear the Tui's sing.
