    Good picnic spots around the lake and photo ops! Its always a Lovely place to walk. The playground is also a fun place to gather with friends and have playdate! Be mindful of the baby Pukekos in the area! Some visitors cannot read in English although it says “do not feed the birds”, we saw a bunch of people bringing breads and feeding the ducks and swans. :(

    Great venue but whoever organises gigs here needs to tweak some things going forward. Those orange cups!!! At Rufus Du sol there were 25,000 people. How about giving people their cans to drink out of instead of the orange cups that spill all over everyone else and get absolutely CRUSHED into the grass on the way out. What a disaster. At Big day out they had dedicated areas for drinking. So much easier to clean and eliminates the drunks spilling their $11 pals all over everyone else. Other than that, great venue for a good gig.

    Just amazing! Who would have thought this not really a hidden gem at the heart of the highway has lots to offer. For a loner like me, it gave me a sense of ease whilst taking a short hike...it was a 4 hours well spent for a bit of sun and just pure nature all for me.
