“We had a staff Christmas Dinner here. We booked a table Riverside with a cool breeze coming in the window. The waitress guided us through the menu and recommended specials. Everything was delicious, favorites being the duck pancakes and bao buns. We had 4 small plates and 3 large plates for four people and there was plenty of food. We were to full for dessert, but they looked really good.”

“My daughter and I had a wonderful lunch, little miss 5.5 was not only all smiles but very well looked after including sneaky chocolate delivery from the lovely Emilie who expertly serviced our needs. Attentive, friendly and anticipating our every need, this girl needs a bar tab from the owners or at the very least a juicy slab of meat loaded with truffle butter!! “Come on Auckland! You guys need to come and support this great business! The beers are off the chart and the food is fantastic! I love a hazy IPA, each one was unique and delicious! There are over 30 different beers to choose from! The food was really good. I highly recommend the crispy butchers bites, the deep fried gherkins, the Korean cauliflower and the ChurBurger! That ChurBurger was……chur!! Bloody delicious!!! Not a big fan of shoestring fries (I like the proper chunky fries) but overall, fantastic beer and food…I highly recommend!”

“Update- this little place no longer operates as a cafe. But instead is a cute venue and pizzeria and bar. Hours can vary so best to check out when they are open for pizza and drinks. The best little cafe in Westmere. We went to a birthday party here and it had an awesome private tiny theatre and private garden. There was also the public cafe with delicious food and coffee.”

We started with the lemon pepper calamari, which was perfectly tender and seasoned to perfection. The truffle fries were indulgent and had just the right amount of truffle aroma, making them impossible to resist. The wagyu beef sliders were a highlight – juicy, flavorful, and served with a delightful balance of textures. The mains were equally impressive. The wagyu brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with bold, rich flavors. The lamb cutlets were cooked to perfection, beautifully tender with a touch of smokiness. It's not always easy to find a place that caters so well to plant- based diets. It's true that the food isn't fast food, so don't expect the a quick bite. The dishes are clearly made with care, and the flavors are amazing. The space itself is open and inviting, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, which really added to the positive vibe. And of course, for the beer lovers, this place is a must-visit. They have a great selection of brews, making it the perfect spot to try something new with some amazing food. I highly recommend Urbanaut!”

“Every time I go to Auckland, I make sure to visit Windross House. I’m always greeted with a smile and the service is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. My favourites dishes are the classic mango chicken and garlic Prawns for entree. It’s a must visit when in Auckland!!”

A bit loud sometimes, however, they have some wonderful little booths that are Christmas themed at the moment. The decor right now is so cute. We will be coming back!”

“We've been here twice in the last month, and had a great meal each time. The new owners are really friendly and nice, and the bar has a nice coast atmoshere. On the Halloween night they had a dress up session with prizes, and Nelly was perfect as an Angel. The food is all great. I highly recommend the pizzas and the steak. Both are excellent. If I had to make one improvement suggestion, it would be to perhaps get a a wider range of craft beers. But generally this is a great place that I highly recommend.”

“What a beautiful location! We had high tea - the food, all made in house, was divine. The hot scones, made freshly for us, were light and fluffy and served with delicious jam and fresh cream. The tea was lovely, with bottomless refills of the tea pot. And there is something peaceful about looking over the garden, watching ducks and chickens foraging whilst sparrows gather for crumbs. The service was also wonderful, friendly but professional. I would thoroughly recommend a visit! N.B. There is other food apart from a high tea, and it looked wonderful!”

“Fed up with the loud noise on K-road bars. Google classy bar near K-road, and this came up on top. What a nice little bar, the DJ’s music was trippy yet chilled, fits with my groovy mood. The barman knows his stuff and has made us 3 fantastic cocktails from my very limited brief description of what I'm feeling for. I had such an amazing night there.”
