“We got dinner and a couple of drinks each and WOW, this place absolutely exceeded my expectations. We were served by a super friendly lady, who seems to really care about this place and giving people a great experience. The food was outstanding. Huge portions! Steak cooked to perfection and the garlic bread was banging. We are very very happy we chose this place for our staycation and we will be back, thank you guys :)”

“Perfect, ordered steak eggs and chips with slaw for 30$ and it was one of the best steaks I have ever tasted really big meal struggled to eat it all. Great service aswell thank you from 2 Wellington lads. We will be back when we are here again.”

“Come on Auckland! You guys need to come and support this great business! The beers are off the chart and the food is fantastic! I love a hazy IPA, each one was unique and delicious! There are over 30 different beers to choose from! The food was really good. I highly recommend the crispy butchers bites, the deep fried gherkins, the Korean cauliflower and the ChurBurger! That ChurBurger was……chur!! Bloody delicious!!! Not a big fan of shoestring fries (I like the proper chunky fries) but overall, fantastic beer and food…I highly recommend!”

“Update- this little place no longer operates as a cafe. But instead is a cute venue and pizzeria and bar. Hours can vary so best to check out when they are open for pizza and drinks. The best little cafe in Westmere. We went to a birthday party here and it had an awesome private tiny theatre and private garden. There was also the public cafe with delicious food and coffee.”

“Fed up with the loud noise on K-road bars. Google classy bar near K-road, and this came up on top. What a nice little bar, the DJ’s music was trippy yet chilled, fits with my groovy mood. The barman knows his stuff and has made us 3 fantastic cocktails from my very limited brief description of what I'm feeling for. I had such an amazing night there.”

We started with the lemon pepper calamari, which was perfectly tender and seasoned to perfection. The truffle fries were indulgent and had just the right amount of truffle aroma, making them impossible to resist. The wagyu beef sliders were a highlight – juicy, flavorful, and served with a delightful balance of textures. The mains were equally impressive. The wagyu brisket was melt-in-your-mouth tender and packed with bold, rich flavors. The lamb cutlets were cooked to perfection, beautifully tender with a touch of smokiness. The goat cheese croquettes were a creamy, crispy delight that added a perfect complement to the meal. To top it all off, the pomegranate sour was a fantastic choice – expertly mixed, refreshing, and a great pairing for the food. Every dish was presented beautifully, and the flavors were nothing short of incredible. The service was warm and attentive, and the atmosphere of the bar was cozy and inviting. Jervois Rd Wine Bar + Kitchen is a true gem, and we can’t wait to return for another memorable dining experience! 5/5 stars. Highly recommend!”

“Visited The Roll yesterday and tried Bun Cha, Stir fried Beef PHO, Broken Rice with Pork Ribs and Vietnamese Pancake. The food was fresh and full of flavour. I was especially impressed with Bun Cha, the meatballs was so tender and smoky, perfectly with the dipping sauce. The Broken Rice was fantastic too. We were all really happy with the meal. The staff and service were wonderful. Definitely recommend checking it out!”

“If you're planning on hosting any event, I highly recommend Royal Hype! Food tasted amazing and this place is VERY generous with their food. Staff was extremely kind and nice and were always keen to go above and beyond (they always offered to help even though they really.didnt have to). Everyone was so accommodating and it created an amazing atmosphere for my guests. By far the best venue I have ever booked. Everything was easy and smooth, truly a gem for huge celebrations! My party had 70 guests, but could accommodate over 100 guests depending on how you handle the seating plans.”

“Urbanaut Brewery and Tap Room, a fantastic experience! As someone who appreciates good vegetarian/vegan options, was impressed with their offerings. It's not always easy to find a place that caters so well to plant- based diets. It's true that the food isn't fast food, so don't expect the a quick bite. The dishes are clearly made with care, and the flavors are amazing. The space itself is open and inviting, creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful, which really added to the positive vibe. And of course, for the beer lovers, this place is a must-visit. They have a great selection of brews, making it the perfect spot to try something new with some amazing food. I highly recommend Urbanaut!”

“Every time I go to Auckland, I make sure to visit Windross House. I’m always greeted with a smile and the service is fantastic. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. My favourites dishes are the classic mango chicken and garlic Prawns for entree. It’s a must visit when in Auckland!!”

“Good authentic Spanish food. We enjoyed the rich flavours in the Squid dish - main sized. Really good - recommended! The paella was rich and delicious, full of seafood and great flavours. Large serve. Good garlic and cheese bread pizza. Leafy salad with olives and feta good too! Cheap drink 3pm - 6pm 8$ wines and beers Enjoyed the Seaview from a table near the front of the restaurant. Only downside was the tables are very close - so the conversation of you and your neighbours are not private…”

“We had a staff Christmas Dinner here. We booked a table Riverside with a cool breeze coming in the window. The waitress guided us through the menu and recommended specials. Everything was delicious, favorites being the duck pancakes and bao buns. We had 4 small plates and 3 large plates for four people and there was plenty of food. We were to full for dessert, but they looked really good.”

“Had my daughter’s first birthday party here. John the manager is so easy to communicate with and always replied to my emails within a timely manner. I love that they allow you to cater for your own food. The staff were just lovely on the day! Highly recommend this venue”
