We had a family Christmas lunch today at the Archer, the food was fantastic as was the service. Extensive menu has something for everyone, including the youngest member of our group (Mr Nearly Two). I happily recommend The Archer to anyone who is looking for a nice, quiet place for lunch during the week.
Came in one Friday for a date night. The staff were friendly and helpful. Sat in the bar area wich had a great vibe, had some food from the bar menu and from the regular menu. All was ready pretty quickly and tasted great. It was reasonably quiet as we were early but the staff all were flat out cleaning and making sure the place was up and running. The manager Harriet came and checked in with us and made sure we were having a good time and the food was all OK. Great experience, highly recommend.
The function area was really nice, a perfect space for getting everyone together for a birthday celebration. The best function space we could find in the area. The staff were so friendly and welcoming which made the whole evening feel relaxed and enjoyable. Amazing options of different sharing platters to meet all dietary needs also. I would definitely recommend this venue and I’ll definitely be back soon.
My partner and I dined in the archer for our Wedding dinner. The ambience was nice and was aesthetically pleasing - toilets pristine! We had the scotch fillet, seafood risotto, and seasoned wedges. Steak was cooked to our liking, tasted really good. The risotto looked like it didn't have much at first glance but dug in and I was full afterwards - it was a flavorbomb for sure! Seasoned wedges and the fries could use a little tone down with salt, though the texture was perfect. Icing to the cake, as we had a special occasion, the Chef had something in surprise for us - appreciate that so much! Overall, was a really good experience and would definitely return if we were in the area!
Went and had dinner here. I had lamb ribs, and my wife had Salmon. We both enjoyed our meals, with them being perfectly cooked. We finished off with the Apple and Pecan pie which was lovely to finish with. We will be back just for the dessert. Had another lovely meal here, had the Chicken Schnitzel and it was nice and tender and thick. 100% better than some we had on the Nirth Shore.
Had a good experience at The Archer. Ordered pizza, fries and salad. Food was delicious. The menu offers a variety of options at a good price. Service is great. Nice chill place to dine. Offers a good area for large groups. Highly recommend.
Brought colour pencils and kids menu can be coloured in. Nice range of kids meals. Fast service which is good for the little ones. Affordable prices, good food and friendly service. Only recommendation is to add milkshakes to menu, seeing as so many famies go there.
Amazing, best fish and chips ever! Atmosphere was awesome. Wait staff and owners were all attentive and wonderful! Highly recommend having dinner here. Thank you for an amazing, wonderful dinner!
Amazing Christmas Lunch. We have hosted Christmas for many years and this year we decided to treat ourselves and have lunch at a restaurant. The Archer were doing a Christmas special and we were not disappointed. Doors opened at midday and you were greeted with a glass of bubbles, numbered allocated seating and unlimited buffet. I am normally not a buffet fan but this was amazing; huge array of foods covering starters, mains and desserts all fresh and so well cooked. The service was amazing, the food was so good and made our day, glad we made the decision to do this, we drove from Orewa for this experience! The Archer is consistently good, so if you are looking for a good meal out I can’t recommend them enough. As its limited numbers make sure you dont miss out next year, book early!
the food quality here is exceptional, I think the best on the hibiscus coast. All the dishes tasted fresh, and the bread is homebaked. The menu has a lot of options, and the owner here is also very friendly. The food is quite rich though. Well worth coming back to :)
