“The owners are the nicest people and make the best yummy food. It’s always a pleasure popping in for a coffee and a muffin! Highly recommended.”
“Absolutely love this place — best caffeine fix in town and a manager who deserves a medal (or at least a very large wine). Sarah somehow smiles through our never-ending string of customized cappuccino orders like, “extra hot, but not too hot, almond milk but only if it’s the fancy kind, and can you make the foam look like a cat?” She delivers every time. Great coffee, cozy vibes, and a manager who deserves hazard pay. Five stars!”
“Best cafe in the area. Excellent, reliable coffee, very tasty cabinet food. Quick and friendly service, although pretty busy in the mornings. Cheapest coffee for miles if you buy a prepaid card! Works out to $4.20 for a large coffee. Also highly recommend the cajun chicken sandwich, chocolate caramel slice, and almond croissants.”
“They make great coffee and I just love there mince pies, also randomly they add a extra something in my bag. Cool since I'm not in the area that often. I felt it easy to order a couple of dozen savory mince pies to shout morning tea for one of my customer out that way. They sing their praises too.”
“Loved the welcoming owners here. Food is great and reasonably priced given the vicinity of the hospital. Definitely a stop for me if I am at the hospital for an extended time.”
“Smells delicious walking past so had to go in. Tastes amazing and awesome staff and very friendly. Tastes as good as it smells and would eat it all day every day”
“Yum as cheap scotch fillet steak meal”
“It says Level 7 in the address, but you just go up two lots of escalators in the PWC Building to an open area where the Cafe is located. Lots of seating and the coffee is great. It's a good place for casual and business catch up, as it is centrally located and adjacent to Commercial Bay complex”
“I got the chance to pop into Luna bake house and let me say it did not disappoint, from the coffee to the Pastry’s everything was perfect. The staff were also amazing very friendly and great with recommendations. Can’t wait to go back to this hidden gem.”
“The coffee is great, and the donuts are especially delicious!”
“Coffee is sooo delicious! The older lady that works there is super sweet and the other people are lovely too.”
“Awesome coffee! So cheap! So delicious! Such delicious people! Such polite muffins”
“Quick service and excellent cafe.”
“My son .daughter inlaw and I went for lunch today. Food and service were amazing as always .Highly recommended .”
“My favourite local cafe. Food and coffee consistently good as is the service. The club sandwiches are healthy and tasty. Check it out!”
“Although their drinks are on the pricier side, they have the best mango sago with yogurt drink!”
“It’s a tiny drive into the cafe. Drive slow you can zip right past it. Delicious Altura coffee. Lots of food options both in the cabinet and on the board. About 5 or 6 tables outside great on a sunny day. If there’s any left when you get there try the cheese scone !!!”
“A lovely friendly cafe in a great location. Excellent coffee and delicious food. Customer Service was fantastic the man behind the counter really knows how to be welcoming and attentive towards his customers. Vety well done. Will definitely be going back.”
“Went on boxing day, nice staff and quick service. Lovely food. Would definitely go again”
“This place was pretty darn good. Ambiance was nice. Servers were on top of things and the food was delicious. We got avocado toast and fish and chips. Also got a medium size flat white that was quite large. Will definitely return when in town.”
“Fantastic place. Fabulous food. The best granola yoghurt bowl ever. Service consistently good. Open on 2January and NO SURCHARGE”
“Had an absolutely amazing experience here! My partner and I have been travelling around and both wish we would’ve found this place earlier, before leaving Auckland! We went there for breakfast twice, and the food (egg Benedict & bacon and tomato bagel) as well as coffee (I had both iced and normal flat white coffees) was amazing! AAA+++, I would love to go back again someday!”
“Celebrating our lovely daughter’s 6th birthday—and her very first birthday party—at this restaurant was the best decision we could have made! From the beginning, Rachel, the owner, was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all our questions and guiding us through the party planning process. The staff was beyond kind, making sure everything ran smoothly. The delicious buffet for adults, the fantastic kids’ menu, and the amazing outdoor playground made this place truly special. Everything was just perfect for us! A huge thank you to the staff for warmly accommodating 20 excited kids! If anyone is looking for the perfect venue for a child’s birthday party, I highly recommend this place!”
“Came here for lunch the other day with a friend and I'm so glad I did. The workers were so friendly and polite, the food had big portions and were delicious. Star of the show was definitely the cake they sell. We got a slice of the green tea layered cake, the mango layered cake, and chocolate cheesecake. With the green tea crepe cake, they let the green tea be the main flavour, and not sugar which I often find a problem other cafes can't perfect. The mango layered cake had fresh mango layered between the crepes, and was both refreshing and sweet. Lastly, the chocolate cheesecake suprized me with how well they made such a simple concept so rich with flavour. Often, I find cafés make chocolate flavoured deserts to sweet, but they had a perfect balance of sweetness with the richness of the overall dessert. Overall, me and my friend definitely recommend this café to everyone, especially since they're open for many hours of the day!”
“What an interesting little café, Vintage Café is. It has a real country vibe. Steady stream of customers. The menu is good and the food cabinet is inviting. The atmosphere was good, had the quiet hum of intense conservation, radio in the background, sounds of coffee being made, and intense chatter out in the kitchen. The service was excellent. Yes, there was a slight wait to be served, but then there was a number of customers being served and waiting for their coffee. The young lady making coffee did an amazing job and handled the pressure really well. My kāwhe was perfect, large cappuccino with choc (of course). Eggs Benedict with bacon was perfect (didn't stay long on the plate) and the mango smoothie, yum. All arrived promptly and were devoured just as promptly. It's definitely worth a visit, as is the gift shop next door.”
“"Sensational Indian flavors, attentive service, and inviting ambiance. Each dish is a culinary masterpiece. A top-notch experience for food lovers!"”
“Amazing service and even better food! Got the croissants and the blue smoothies and it was all superb! Maybe the best breakfast in New Zealand! Love all the staff and their infectious positivity! Thank you for the amazing expirience :)”
“Excellent service on Mothers day where we enjoyed a filling, value for money menu in a friendly customer focused atmosphere. We ate inside where we were able to order off a varied menu. We ordered the benediction breakfast, and the big breakfast. Both were flavourful, with generous portions. The coffee was hot, and well made, in fact we ordered another at the end of our meal, taking our time to catch up without feeling rushed. We met Shaheen the owners wife who was checking to see that we were okay. Thank you to the chef, barista, and welcoming staff who made my mother's day very special.”
“Excellent food. Perfect service. Loved the smokey bacon and sourdough. I'd buy loaves of bread if you stocked them. Highly recommended. Will be back for sure!”
“A café that feels like home. There are plenty of stylish and trendy spots out there, but this place sticks to the basics — and does them perfectly. The breakfast is always solid, no matter when you go. Nothing flashy, just real, honest flavors that never disappoint. Best café in the East, hands down. Even the coffee is all about doing the simple things right. Morning coffee doesn’t get better than this.”
