   Spending a week based up at Clarkes Beach while working in South Auckland i found this quaint little cafe 5 min away at Waiau Pa. This became me morning coffee escape before hitting the traffic. Awesome coffee and food. As i left today i was given beautiful kai for my trip to Tauranga. Tino Reka whaea, will definately catch yous on my next trip

   Lovely food, and drinks. Great find on the way to Clark’s Beach. Unfortunately people sat in the open air area and their cigarette smoke drifted into the indoor area. Can be hot indoor as the sun streams straight through the poly roof, not many spaces to sit in the shade.

   What an interesting little café, Vintage Café is. It has a real country vibe. Steady stream of customers. The menu is good and the food cabinet is inviting. The atmosphere was good, had the quiet hum of intense conservation, radio in the background, sounds of coffee being made, and intense chatter out in the kitchen. The service was excellent. Yes, there was a slight wait to be served, but then there was a number of customers being served and waiting for their coffee. The young lady making coffee did an amazing job and handled the pressure really well. My kāwhe was perfect, large cappuccino with choc (of course). Eggs Benedict with bacon was perfect (didn't stay long on the plate) and the mango smoothie, yum. All arrived promptly and were devoured just as promptly. It's definitely worth a visit, as is the gift shop next door.

   Coffee very average, croissant OK, scone not good. Young person serving needs upskilling and tables lacking the basics, sorry could be so good with a bit of care

   Cabinet bars and cakes are good but have had pretty average cooked food when we visit, which isn't often. Coffee is just so-so. I think if they provided decent hot food maybe we'd come back but when we can make better food at home we'll choose that because it's cheaper.

   What a cool little Cafe we got there to late as the kitchen was closed so had food from cabinet home made wow awesome the staff or owners just amazing were coming back for sure . Guys ho for a drive head to Clark's Beach and give these guys ago stop in say hi have coffee have something to eat you won't be disappointed. On ya guys see you soon.

   I had the sweet waffles and they are absolutely phenomenal, they helped me unlock new chambers of flavour in my mouth which i thought were unthinkable and the portion, my goodness, enough to feed a hungry warrior after a big battle.

   Very disappointed. My wife and I sat in for lunch 7 Aug and ordered the big breakfast and creamy mushrooms. The Big breakfast turned out to be a Small breakfast with minimal portions of egg, bacon, croquettes and two small chicken sausages. The creamy mushrooms consisted of approx 4 or 5 small button mushroom sliced finely and spread over 3 pieces of bread to make it appear more. We both left feeling hungry. Coffee was good. It was also unfortunate to overhear the cook chastising the girl on the counter and the F bomb being dropped. As a local we won't be back or be recommending this cafe anytime soon. Addendum - WOW ... see the owners response to my review !! We have never reviewed this café before so clearly the response is an indication of the owners mindset.
