   Firstly, I have to admit that the donuts they make are better than Dunkin' Donuts or Krispy Kreme. However, I was a little disappointed when I bought a dozen donuts and was told that if I was going to select the same sort of flavoured donut (example, two Boston Kreme's) it was going to cost an extra $1. Therefore, if I was to purchase six of the same then it would have cost me $6 extra. I looked around to see whether there was any signage stating that and there wasn't. So, that for me left me a little concerned as it wasn't the money for me but more the fact that this was a price placed on patrons and that some would actually pay for something that was not advertised as such. I emailed Southern Maids head office but received no response to date.

   I travelled from Pukekohe just for these. It was 2 hours before closing and they had no dounuts?! Wasted my time and petrol going all the way there. Surely it doesn't take that long to make more. The donuts don't taste the same as they used to. Edit: To add to the owners reply, I tried calling on 2 different days and no answer which is why I went in instead. Surely you would make more within 2 hours of closing?Maybe I should have just gone to Onehunga where the donuts were actually GOOD! So yes, based on my experience and your reply this is a fair rating.

   The donuts look decent but in my opinion a little overpriced. There are many flavours which is a good thing because buyers can pick their favourite. If you don’t mind paying a little more, you can try out flavours that you don’t get them from other bakeries.

   Southern Maid donuts are the best in all of Auckland! Not too sweet and great flavors! Donuts that actually taste like a donuts and not just sweet bread. They're always so kind- service with a smile. It is very rare for businesses to go above and beyond for their customers like they do! I really appreciate that!

   Absolutely delicious and fresh donuts. Highly recommended if you're looking to buy donuts that have different variety of flavours. Very delicious and divine. Great customer service also.
