“This wonderful Café, tucked behind an old railway station that feels straight out of a Harry Potter movie, is a total gem. The cozy vibe, with its vintage decor, makes it a great spot to kick back and relax. Their food is delicious—try the sandwiches and pastries, paired with some fantastic coffee. The staff are super friendly and make you feel right at home. Whether you’re hanging out with friends or just enjoying some quiet time, this place is perfect for a chill day. Definitely check it out!”
“Good place for family hanging out! We love the atmosphere and especially food. Some of the nicest tasting food I've had for a while. Recommend - egg Benedict, pasta, coffee.”
“The owners are the nicest people and make the best yummy food. It’s always a pleasure popping in for a coffee and a muffin! Highly recommended.”
“Amazing cafe! The decor is cozy yet stylish, making it a perfect spot for catching up with friends. The coffee is exceptional—smooth, rich, and brewed to perfection. The food menu is equally impressive, offering a great variety of fresh, flavorful dishes and tastes incredible. Also friendly and attentive staff passionate about making your experience special. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a delightful experience!”
“Ordered a breakfast from Uber eats. The food was delicious. Banana smoothie was nice.”
“Love this place! You have a choice to eat inside and outside. The people are friendly, professional and always genuine when they come around to collect plates etc. The food was amazing!! Looked and tasted delicious. We will be coming again for sure.”
“The fact someone can rate this place a 1 star is beyond me. A great local business. Food is amazing and love the atmosphere feels like a home. Staff are friendly. Definitely recommend.”
“Absolutely love this place — best caffeine fix in town and a manager who deserves a medal (or at least a very large wine). Sarah somehow smiles through our never-ending string of customized cappuccino orders like, “extra hot, but not too hot, almond milk but only if it’s the fancy kind, and can you make the foam look like a cat?” She delivers every time. Great coffee, cozy vibes, and a manager who deserves hazard pay. Five stars!”
“Good food, the place is cozy and cute, staff is nice. A little bit pricey but it’s worth it. They have vegan options.”
“Nestled in beautiful surrounds . A lovely view of the sky tower and sun dawning on the new day . I'm here at 8 am , very peaceful, gentle sunshine streaming in . A beautiful start to the day with coffee and lovely surroundings.”
“Awesome food and coffee.. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in Titirangi!”
“Great place for a relaxed coffee ☕ Had a flat white and it was marvelous. They have a very pleasant garden inside, but it got a bit too hot, so I moved to another side - perfect for people watching. And they have a free WiFi”
“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Truly Outstanding Experience — Joe’s Garage Has Our Hearts! We first discovered Joe’s Garage in Queenstown and instantly fell in love — the food, the layout, the vibe… everything was perfect. But the real star for us was the pancakes, which our daughter adored. For a whole year she talked about them and couldn’t wait to go back as we were from Auckland. So when we found out there was a Joe’s Garage in Silverdale, we were thrilled — even though we live all the way in Henderson, we were more than happy to make the trip. We finally arrived, excited and ready… only to learn that the famous pancakes are only served before 5pm, and we had arrived at 6:30pm. Our daughter was devastated, and honestly, so were we. But this is where the magic happened. Our wonderful server Tyra (who was also managing that evening) could see how much it meant to our daughter. We politely asked if there was any chance the chef might be able to make an exception. Instead of giving us a flat no, Tyra said, “Let me see what I can do.” She went to speak with the kitchen team, and came back with the most heartwarming news — their chef Hunter was willing to make a fresh batch of pancakes from scratch, just for our daughter. We were genuinely moved. This wasn’t standard service — this was above and beyond. Tyra’s kindness, and Hunter’s willingness to go out of his way, created a moment our family will never forget. Because of this experience, Joe’s Garage will forever have a special place in our hearts. Wherever we see a Joe’s Garage in the world, we’ll be loyal supporters — and our daughter will too. A massive thank you to Tyra (server & manager) and Hunter (chef) for turning a sad moment into such a beautiful memory. You made our daughter’s day, and ours. ❤️ Ray from Henderson”
“The food was wonderful and the view was beauiful (specially on a sunny day).”
“Quick service and excellent cafe.”
“Great coffee ☕️ highly recommended this place, small cafe but don’t let that put you off. Well worth the stop”
“All the staff are very friendly and welcoming and take their jobs seriously. The place is clean, tidy and has a great atmosphere. I usually eat in the separate area upstairs which is a more quieter , away from the hustle and bustle. Also there is a great little spot for young children to play while you eat. Their french toast dish is presented beautifully and very satisfying as it comes with bacon as well. Our favourite is the potato hash, it's a very generously sized dish with varying textures and tasty complementary flavours. Their blueberry cheesecake is the perfect balance of real fruit, textures and richness and flavour. With amazing customer service to boot - This is a Onehunga Gem!”
“We had an amazing time at the cafe. The manager was very helpful with my questions and very accommodating with our requests. The friendly Manager recommended the Chef's Salmon Pasta. And it was absolutely delicious!! The menu looks amazing with loads of unique take on our regular dishes we find in the local cafes. They also had really nice pantry food. And the dessert looked amazing! Highly recommended!”
“Quite likely the best seafood pasta I’ve ever had. Incredible service, atmosphere was beautiful and presentation was 11/10. Will 100% be back because the cabinet food looked unreal! A great example of a hospo venue nailing all bases.”
“"I recently had the pleasure of visiting The Stone Cow Cafe and was delighted to find out that they offer art classes! For only $60, you can enjoy a drink of your choice while getting creative with the art supplies provided. The art pieces that adorned the walls added to the already inviting and creative atmosphere. The service was fantastic, and the food was delicious. It's great to see a local business that not only offers great food and service but also promotes the arts in the community. I highly recommend checking out The Stone Cow Cafe for a fun and unique experience. Let's support local businesses that offer creative and engaging activities for our community. Five stars from me! “A lovely little eatery. Really friendly and professional staff, delightful ambience. Food was incredible, highly recommend the spicy mushrooms!”
“What a magic way to start your day. On the brink of summer, with the sun just rising, sitting with a tulip cup of perfectly brewed caffeine goodness, watching the workday week crowd hustle and the rest, actively relax. Happiness is a spot on the deck, people watching and sitting with friends appreciating where you are. The staff, attentive and friendly, the food, pricey but worth it.”
“This is an establishment on K Rd. And there is a reason for that. Their prices are reasonable. The food is tasty with generous portions. Most of all the staff are super nice and helpful!”
“Omg I love this place today I had bacon and egg pie freshly made daily, carrot cake to die for. A cappa made perfectly”
“Really enjoyed our breakfast here, the eggs bene with fried chicken is definitely worth it. Service was fast and kind. Would definitely come back. The coffee was nice too, really good presentation.”
“"5 stars, hands down! I had the most amazing eggs Benedict for brunch, and the homemade hollandaise sauce was the icing on the cake. The staff were super friendly and made us feel right at home. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, with plenty of seating upstairs and a charming courtyard area. We can't wait to come back and try more of their delicious dishes!"”
“HALF & HALF - Recommended dish here. The dish comprises of half balsamic mushrooms & half scrambled eggs, along with two slices of delicious toasted sourdough. The balsamic seasoning of the mushroom was perfect and the scrambled eggs were cooked to perfection. Also the eggs were not seasoned, allowing me to adjust the seasoning to my taste. The staff were friendly and the service time was reasonable given how busy the place was. There is extra seating upstairs along with alot of outdoor seating, including the tables in front of the restaurant next door. Great to take in some sun rays and enjoy. In summary, they deliver staple food to a high standard in a great wee spot on Ponsonby. Will be back again!”
“Great staff. They already know the coffee orders when I walk in! This is the go to Cafe if you are in the area! Great coffee and they make all their own food in the displays which is delicious. The Chicken and Bacon burger is a great choice.”
“Food was great! It’s a good fusion of Japanese and kiwi food. Staff are accommodating. Enough parking spaces.”
“It says Level 7 in the address, but you just go up two lots of escalators in the PWC Building to an open area where the Cafe is located. Lots of seating and the coffee is great. It's a good place for casual and business catch up, as it is centrally located and adjacent to Commercial Bay complex”
