“Good prices for their movie tickets, last time I remember it was $8 compared to the $19+ to buy a ticket at hoyts. They also offer western union transactions and lotto. The owners also are friendly and welcoming no matter what you buy. Parking is a bit difficult when it gets busy because you cannot see cars on the road when reversing out. Also frequented by school kids weekday afternoons so plan your visit and avoid the busy hours.”

“Pretty huge iconic store in Manukau mall. It is an unsaid rule in our to visit this store if we are in Manukau mall. Ample variety of almost everything available. I or rather my better half particularly like the range of cosmetics. The kids section has a lot of variety. Some furniture and kitchen appliances also available but not a huge selection. The staff is helpful and courteous. Parking is not a problem since it is in the mall.”

“Pretty big store with plenty of variety of household items. Briscoes have always some kind of sale going on. So we always wait for sale on the item I need. Towels, toaster and other kitchen items, travel bags and accessories etc all available. The quality of goods is excellent. I hardly have to return any faulty items. Ambiance is good and it’s always welcoming to come over for shopping. The staff are friendly and courteous. Help out when you need something. Plenty of parking available around the store.”

“New World Botany is our favourite supermarket in Botany. My husband and I always do our grocery shopping there because New World Botany is very clean and tidy. Staff are all friendly and helpful, especially Karen who always helps customers pack their grocery nice and tidy in our recycled bags. She always greets customers and has a friendly chat with them too. There are lots of parking space at Botany Town Centre near Flight Centre. Lots of mobility parking lots are available for those who have mobility permit. We highly recommend you to go there and do your grocery shopping if you live in Botany or East Auckland.”

She offered to have another look just incase. She insisted although she didn’t have to. To my surprise she came back after a few minutes and handed me the tee which was perfect. “Lotus Supermarket is one of those places that can immediately bring back a piece of India, when you step inside. It can be a one stop shop place for anyone looking for a good place to restock their pantry with Indian/Pakistani food products. The store has a variety of options, right from grains and pulses to snacks and sweets. They do have counters in the entrance offering fruits, vegetables and other products on discount. The frozen sections have a good selection of Dairy products, frozen savouries, sweet treats, batters and ready to eat foods. Frozen Indian fruits and vegetables are also available. The spice and grains section has almost all the spices and pulses we require for cooking Indian dishes. The meat section has good quality Halal Cut Meat ( the meat section is open until 6:30 Pm only). It is a pretty big store where you can almost get everything. Overall things are nominally priced and is a must visit for an Indian grocery haul.”
