   Not my usual supermarket, but went to buy some fish in a pinch. Picked up a small tray of snapper with today's date as the packing date. Reduced to clear for some reason. I know why - the filleting was absolutely atrocious. They packed it so that the smooth side of the fillets was facing up but underneath it was like a 5 year old hacked at it. Most pieces didn't smell as fresh as I was expecting. I'd expect much better quality from New World, come on now. The original price for this was $15, outrageous

   Today I went to New World Remuera to buy something, and I was falsely accused of not paying. The security guard warned me with a very rude attitude and even took a photo of my passport without any police present. He threatened me and told me I was not allowed to enter New World again. If I had really stolen something, he should have called the police, not treated me so unreasonably and aggressively. Is it just because I look Asian? Please don’t come to this New World anymore. This is the worst experience I’ve had in my three years living in New Zealand.

   Disappointed by Unequal Treatment at Checkout Date-05/11/2025 Time-8.30-9.00 PM Check out- closest to the self-checkout I usually use the self-checkout, but it was closed during my recent visit, so I had to go through the staffed lanes. What I experienced was deeply upsetting. The checkout assistants—specifically a group of South Asian women—seemed to selectively offer help packing groceries based on the customer’s skin color. When I approached, they disappeared or ignored me, but I saw them actively assisting others who looked different from me. I don’t know if this behavior stems from ego, internal bias, or something else, but it felt discriminatory and unfair. Everyone deserves equal treatment, regardless of race or background. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures that all customers are treated with respect and dignity. By the way I am also a South Asian.

   Go to Stonefields instead. Agreed , it is small. Hard to find things. They certainly used alot of space for alcohol!! The bakery area is very bad. I was there at 8 this morning and the tongs and holder was covered in old hard food. Come on New World it's basic hygiene and suspect it's part of your license.

   Small new world. Very tidy. Friendly staff. Product range is good in some areas but limited in others I guessed Tailored to the local shoppers. Very large liquor section. Carpark is shared with the shopping strip so not that easy to park.

   A good layout of aisles and selection is slightly small but it's good considering the size of supermarket. Bit confused as to why this location is not on the new world website. Check out staff are a bit rude around an hour before closing, I understand they would like to finish their shift and go home but it is slightly off-putting to be ignored for a conversation with a coworker. But otherwise it is a well put together location for new world.

   This is such a posh New World, I love it. The gentleman who works the wine section is so nice and it's a total high class experience even if you're buying El cheapo. I like how the champagne is chilled and ready to go for that emergency celebration.
