“This place never fails. Great food, service, drinks, coffee, parking, public transport- everything! The menu is fab,. But people come for the daily specials. This is shown in a light board. You can check that out as you drive past,as well as check on how busy ( buzzy) it is. They do gluten free with no fuss, kids, no problem ( the 25 yo hipster next me ordered children's menu chicken!). Try it. Think diner/cafe/neighbourhood bistro and you'll get it. Really, have an open mind and enjoy it.”

“Fish and chips is very good. Chips are crisp outside and fluffy inside, just the way they should be, and more consistently excellent than some hotels and cafes can manage. The Asian meals are ok, although fried rice was outstanding, generous portions and enough "wok breath" (where the rice has been exposed to sufficient heat in a hot wok long enough so it tastes like fried rice, not just rice warmed in a wok). Service is fine for a takeaway, efficient and polite, can't fairly expect anything more. Make sure your order is repeated back to you to avoid mistakes, especially over the phone, as it's a noisy environment.”

The staff were outstanding—proactive and attentive. Our guests raved about the food and overall atmosphere. We highly recommend The Waterfront for any event. “First of all this is a pub not a fancy restaurant - set your expectations accordingly. Having said that the food is excellent value for money and a big range of options on the menu and specials board and an amazing selection of sweets in the cabinet. Have had the "small" beef burger here and it's just spot on, usually can't finish the fries that come with it (hey have small/large sizes that really should be described as big/huge). Friendly service at the counter, clean and tidy premises and what looked like a number of locals in for Monday lunch - clearly popular.”

“I went here for lunch yesterday not expecting anything too crazy good, but I was blown away!! The ramen I ordered was the yuzu miso ramen and I added kimchi. It was so delicious! The portion size was perfect and all the flavours melted together beautifully! The broth was really flavourful and the yuzu flavour got stronger towards the end. The kimchi was yummy and crunchy and slightly sweet. The pork slices were thick and charred and tender. The staff were very friendly and food came out relatively quickly. Definitely the best ramen I’ve had in Welly so far.”

“Olé is amazing! If you are looking for something more interesting than Asian or Italian- this is your place. The tapas portions are generous and delicious. We had the pomegranate and home made lemonade drinks and they are divine. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and experience, the food is prompt and tasty and the service is excellent. We left full and impressed. We’ve been to Spain and the food at olé is authentic and awesome.”

“It's such a nice cafe at the waterfront of Days Bay. Nice atmosphere and staff. Sometimes, it takes a while for the kitchen, but that is mainly because of how busy it is. The food is great, cakes are nice and the coffee is good.”
