We really enjoyed our plant based/vegan meal. The tofu ‘fish’ and chips was delightful, as were the beetroot bites. The food came out super quick and the waitstaff were attentive and friendly. Will be back!
This is a favourite. Incredible location and views, great wine list and excellent food. Love they do breakfast lunch and dinner. Recommended!
they have some nice cafe food, but also more elaborate plates, so a good variety for everyone. we specially enjoyed the meat plates, which I would recommend. good service at atmsophera, just in front the waterfront. they were also able to accommodate us with no problem with our baby
We had our wedding at The Waterfront in March 2025 and couldn't be happier with our choice. Zara was involved from the start, bringing a calm, professional approach that made the planning process easy and stress-free. Her communication was excellent, and she used her experience to ensure everything went smoothly. She even took on extra tasks like printing and setup, allowing us to focus on other aspects. The staff were outstanding—proactive and attentive. Our guests raved about the food and overall atmosphere. We highly recommend The Waterfront for any event. They've set a new standard for hospitality on the coast, comparable to the best in Auckland or Melbourne. Keep it up & thank you for everything!!
Thank you for a great night last evening. Our friend is in a wheelchair and access was perfect. You made us feel very welcome and we so enjoyed the delicious food and fantastic service. The best customer service we have experienced in a very long time. Many thanks and we can't wait to return.
Amazing experience! Went in for coffee and a snack but we were so well looked after even not sitting down for lunches and things. When we walked in and talked to the first women who greeted us she offered colouring in activities for the kids and engaged with them so well, offering multiple highchair options and drink ideas. Excellent prompt service even as the place was filling up on a holiday weekend too, super friendly staff who checked in on people regularly. I’d never been here before but will absolutely be back. So nice when an amazing appealing location can back it up with quality food, drinks and service.
Had lunch today greated and served by all staff. Friendly and quick service. Best seafood chowder I've ever had. Mussels were on point too. Thanks Team see you next time
Quick dinner for our last night visiting Kapiti Coast. Staff are friendly, informative and helpful. Ordered the chicken liver pate for entree and had the dish of the day, duck nasi goreng and pork belly for mains. Food was delicious, and mum couldn’t stop raving about the duck 10/10 she reckons. Sadly the pork was quite dry… which was a shame as the meal itself is divine. Great venue will be back approx $50pp including drinks.
